Guaranteed when he gets bodied by the first twelve year old he'll go into king of schematics mode about how he only lost because it's running the Japan bios or its a revision that wasn't sanctioned or how they were using different micro switches in the joystkck.
Oh I love this side of Phil, for as obnoxious as it is that he never admits the truth, it's still fun to watch him exert more effort to come up with an excuse, depending on the situation, than he ever does to get better at video games so he doesn't need so many excuses. For example, the time he accidentally blamed lag when he was playing offline and then tried to recover by claiming he meant to say the game was running at the wrong speed (even though Phil is not an authority on frame rate differences between ports), or when he tried to bullshit his way out of his loss to Mike Valle on a cabinet after EVO 2005 by claiming that it didn't count because he was tired.
Another example, when someone brought up what's going to happen with Kat if something happens to Phil, that's when the mask slipped and the truth came out. His exact statement was "I don't care."
Mentioning this because of the "Kat is gone" theory, which his tone there admittedly suggests is inaccurate, since one naturally pictures Phil having a much nastier attitude towards anyone who left him to fend for himself.
That is, assuming that Katherine ditching him would affect him that much. It might not, considering that he purchased her, and might not have meant anything to him beyond being someone who doesn't need to actually exist. It's not hard to see Phil having reached a point these days where being a married man is only for the stream, not for anything in his personal life, like not having to cook or clean. There's a reason he flexes with talk of delivered food, not homecooked meals, or how spotless his condo supposedly is these days.
Of course, I'm under the assumption that the loss of Leanna hurt him for reasons besides having to fend for himself, and that Katherine isn't even close to a consolation prize. Makes sense to me, he has done so much out of spite, and his marriage itself is such a part of that that I dare say Phil would be publicly single right now if Leanna hadn't done such a number on him emotionally.
I'm also at the point of finding it hard to believe that Katherine would put up with discovering what a fucking liar Phil is, because holy shit does he have a lot to answer for in regards to how her life has been since shacking up with him. I know she doesn't require much, her past demonstrates that, but it's also quite apparent that she had no idea that she was to be part of such a petty long-term attempt at getting back at Phil's first girlfriend. I'll bet the real reason he doesn't want her using social media is because of all the things she would discover if she did. After all, it's how we catch onto the pigroach's bullshit.
Considering their mom locked Jenna in a closet and forced the Kat and the fat sister to pray outside the door to get the devil out of her for 4 days straight. I don't know if they really care about her anymore.
I don't expect Psycho Hobo Mom's kids to care about her, but I also seriously doubt that Phil has the slightest clue about his soulmaid's parents. We KNOW he doesn't give a shit, because Katherine herself doesn't matter to him, possibly not even as a presence in his condo. Just the narrative he pathetically holds together with rotted duct tape.
