XenForo has revoked our license

It sucks real hard some nutjob can complain about us hard enough to get people to cave. At least in this case, losing the software license doesn't seem like that big of a blow.
Its crazy when you consider its literally some spastic on bennies with no influence or sway over anyone or anything. He must be really good at writing scary sounding emails. I don't know when exactly, but at some point businesses lost the ability to say "fuck off dickhead" to these people, or I guess at the very least just ignore them. Are they all that paranoid of getting bad PR because of what some loon in the middle of nowhere in England says?

Rust in this case is used in place of PHP, and C++/C# are not PHP replacements.
I've never heard of Rust being a straight replacement for PHP. PHP is interpreted, Rust is compiled, so you obviously can't just patch it in. Theoretically any compiled language should serve as an equally valid replacement.

I know a lot of people are going from PHP to Rust, but they never really seem to know why. They just do it because it's what's done. If you want to learn Rust, more power to you, I'd just like to hear the exact reasoning behind it.

Rust would probably be a lot harder to DDoS on a request basis, if written well, due to less CPU load and lower latency. They could still DDoS on bandwidth, though. I've wondered for a while if only announcing IPv6 subnets would help on that front, with IPv4 only clients being able to connect through Cloudflare.

does this mean we get an "activate XenForo " on every page we go?
