I don’t want to over infer based on any information we get, but I wonder if him being able to tell people to visit Barb without consequences gives us any insight to the behind the scenes legal workings.
Given that the letter’s intended audience has harassed the Chandlers in the past, it seems to me that it could be something like wittiness tampering, although I’m not a legal expert. I don’t mean to say that it would result in additional charges, but could it lead to his letter writing privileges being restricted? If Chris faces no consequences from encouraging “visitors” to Barb, would that tell us something about Barb’s role, (or lack there of,) in the case? If she’s refused to say anything, it can hardly be seen as interfering with a witness. I’m probably reading too far into it.
