There is a past precedent of a similar situation, Psygnosis not only had a few games that didn't do well, one also leaked early way ahead of release. Now while the studio did close down this wasn't the end of the people who worked there or ran the studio. They went on to form other studios and they still did work for sony for years.

And just this year Sony finished buying up all the studios formed by ex-psynosis people and now they're back essentially working together under one umbrella.

I gotta ask. What exactly does Abby do of her own accord through the game, aside from killing Joel for revenge and searching for the Fireflies at the end? Nearly everything she does is because she was instructed to by her group or Lev, or she's cleaning up something that she caused without taking responsibility.

Great, so not only is she incredibly unlikeable, she's also really boring to play as. At least with Ellie, she's actively striving towards an end goal (bring Joel's killers to justice), so we can still understand her and feel like the story is moving somewhere. Once we switch to Abby, that goes out the window, and we're just bouncing from one plot point to another because she's already completed her objective, and she has no real point other than that until near the end of the fricken game, not helped by her basically getting few if any alterations to her gameplay compared to Ellie. So her whole section feels like you're stuck in place, not going anywhere. No wonder even Laura Bailey hated her character.

Basically, it's what this guy named Filmento pointed out when comparing the Iron Man and Green Lantern films, and why the latter's protagonist was so boring compared to the former's (starts at 7:44 and end it at 11:56). Just replace them with Ellie and Abby and you'll see what I mean.

I know that, at least according to sites like TV Tropes, if they aren't muscular, then them doing all those action maneuvers is seen as "unrealistic", along with it being seen as sexist. Course, try to point out how unrealistic it would be for someone like Abby to have that kind of a body type, especially in the apocalypse, and they'd complain that "you're asking for realism in a story with zombies in it."

My favorite is when you point out how the clickers are barely in the game, they shut up or revert to the "scared of muscled women" card.

This is especially funny because all three of these characters Quiet, Kasumi, and Cortana have more realistic female bodies than Abby.

That and they at least don't have a gratuitous sex scene.

When Flamenco debated Jangles, Jangles pulled his 'I HAVE TWO DEGREES' bullshit and argued Abby's body is realistic because she works out, not knowing that Abby's model was a body builder and body builders consume obscene amounts of protein. It's been shown even in the first game that crops and livestock are rare and meat is something luxurious. You hear a line in the first game about Hunters getting excited over finding a cache of bacon.
