I feel that negative ratings should be removed. I'll oftentimes make a meaningful and well thought out post that I think everyone will appreciate, only to get a bunch of dumb and autistic ratings. It's a massive blow to my self esteem and makes me feel like my post wasn't good, nearly bringing to me to point of tears. When I see all those dumb and autistics it makes me feel like I'm not valued as a human being which is unbelievably cruel.

No one should have to go through the pain and humiliation of negative points on an internet forum.

I am not sure if I want to get rid of the negative ratings. If I make a serious post and it gets a lot of negative it lets me know I've rustled jimmies. If I get a lot of negative ratings when I shitpost it lets me know that maybe that wasn't as funny as I thought it was. In both cases I get benefit, either it strokes my e-penis or it helps me refine my humor.

That being said I'm not sure I would care or even notice right away if all the ratings were gone.
