It's no secret that paedophiles are universally despised and have a gigantic target on their back. However, ex-con YouTubers like After Prison Show and Larry Lawton have all said the same thing time and again: chomos and paedos alike are almost always segregated from genpop for their own safety specifically because their reputation precedes them. Also, Amos got busted for possession of CP and grooming a minor; he didn't rape a child, nor did he even commit statutory. All that horrible shit that happens to paedophiles like getting raped and/or killed happens in higher security prisons where violent criminals end up. In all likelihood, Amos will be kept in a minimum-to-low security prison for nonviolent offenders. His stay in prison won't be comfortable, but it's still gonna be a hell of a lot better for him than ending up in a maximum security prison like Sing Sing (or whatever the infamous prison is in his state, I always forget). Also, I'm not sure if this is 100% correct but assuming it is, Amos won't even end up on the SO registry for long because he's getting extradited back to Singapore for evading his conscription.

Will there be some autistic prisoner in the min-to-low prison that Amos will end up in who thinks that hurting Amos for being a paedophile is worth it? Of course. But for every ONE vigilante prisoner, there's a million more who simply don't wanna get involved in any drama, do their time, and get the fuck out as quickly as possible. Amos will be a pariah, but the outlook of his situation isn't anywhere near as grim as it seems on the surface.

Singaporean Amos Yee was sentenced to six years’ jail by a United States court after he pleaded guilty to grooming a 14-year-old girl online and asking her for naked pictures of herself.

Yee, 23, pleaded guilty early Friday (Dec 3) morning, Singapore time, to charges of grooming and possessing child pornography. Sixteen other charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal.

The court in Illinois heard that Yee befriended the victim, a 14-year-old girl, in February 2019 when he was living in Cook County. He was 20 years old at the time.

Yee met the victim online and they began an “online courtship”, during which Yee “repeatedly requested” her to send him naked photos of herself, the court was told.

On several occasions, Yee asked her to engage in roleplay and "sexual fantasies", including asking her to show him her body, said special prosecutor Assistant State Attorney Marcell Taylor.

Yee did this despite the victim informing him that she was 14 years old at the time of the offences. This went on until July 2019, the court heard.

“You used the Internet, specifically WhatsApp ... to seduce, solicit and lure (the victim) and then you distributed photographs of (her) on a site,” Judge Carol Howard said.The court heard previously that Yee was arrested by US Marshals in October 2020 at his apartment in Chicago’s Norwood Park East neighbourhood.

Yee has been on remand in the US since his arrest and was charged last year.
He appeared in court on Friday via video link and spoke only to waive his right to a jury trial and to plead guilty to the charges, after agreeing to the plea deal.

Yee was granted asylum in the US more than four years ago. Judge Howard told him he may be deported back to Singapore and may be denied entry to the US in future.

This was not Yee’s first brush with the law.

In 2015, Yee was jailed in Singapore for wounding religious feelings by making remarks about Christians. About a year later, Yee was jailed again and fined on a similar charge, this time for making remarks about Christians and Muslims.

In 2017, Yee was granted asylum in the US by a US immigration court, despite opposition from the Department of Homeland Security.

He totally has a machiavellian scheme to weasel his way out of prison. All those times he said he was a pedophile were only for attention, and the people that had a problem with it have gotten him put away.

The name he keeps calling Amos is that of a movie critic who consistently praised low-brow schlock and derided critically acclaimed films. Not saying Jim is the only one who read Amos wrong but he definitely read him wrong. He absolved him of being a genuine pedophile apologist and didn't even consider that Amos himself was a pedophile.

To a rational person, especially back then, no one would seriously call themselves a paedophile and argue for fucking children when they are a semi high profile public figure. The stigma and reputational damage would be too much, so he must be joking... Right? Kid gets asylum for saying edgy shit that his home country doesn't like, now he's saying edgy shit here.

Of course, now we know better. Anyone who talks about child fucking this much with such enthusiasm and using the defense of "it's a joke bro" or "I'm just debating the morality of it bro" is a paedophile.
