The last time I used Gimp it was one of those case studies in why FOSS projects are impenetrable. The UX was absolute trash. Has it improved a lot in the last five years?

On ResetEra, unless you're a troon, being openly white basically gives everyone - even the other white posters - a button to say, 'You're white, therefore your opinion is invalid'. These are the people who willingly deal with all the things BlackEra says about them - all the ways in which they are described as essentially having the Original Sin of racism that they can never remove - and not only accept it, but support it.
So of course they're afraid to let people know they're white. In the 13 years since Street Fighter's resurgence with Street Fighter IV, we've only gotten one Black newcomer Capcom
For reference, Street Fighter IV gave us 11 newcomers while Street Fighter V gave us 15 newbies (16 counting Eleven). Basically, of 26-27 characters, we only got a single new Black character in Laura Matsuda. That's not even mentioning the fact that we got screwed out of a cool Black character...www.resetera.com

You are correct, of course. But Neoxon quantified his posts with all sorts of quantifiers to make it feel like Capcom was being racist. Only "new" characters, and only in the last 13 years. It's like how they say Islamic terrorism has only killed X amount of people in Y years, but Y starts right after 9/11 and X excludes tons of murders because of silly technicalities.
