Reading through the article about the federal vaccine database, I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll ever work again. I’ve gotten this far by lying about my vaccination status and employers never pressing the issue, but if they’re able to get info from a government database and determine their hiring decisions that way, then I’m probably fucked. Probably can’t get gibs either if I don’t get the jab, but I’m not 100% certain about the requirements.
The governments of the world are determined to make this last as long as possible, and even if people stop caring about these stringent health and safety measures and go about their lives, these mandates will continue to be enforced and you won’t be able to ascertain which employers check for that stuff and blacklist your ass for it.
I feel pretty blackpilled right now. I feel like I’m running out of time to hide and will soon face a choice between compliance, destitution and suicide.
If you want a wee bit of hopium, realize that a federal vaccine database is a lot easier said than done.
Don't want to PL too much, but let me just say that health care IT (private, public, pharmaceutical, etc.) is a bureaucratic shitshow. Government IT (federal, state, etc.) is a bureaucratic shitshow. Hell, most IT places in general are a bureaucratic shitshow, but anyway....'member the HealthCare.gov shitshow? Now imagine that applying to all 50 states, some of which don't want to enforce mandates. See also

Every place/state does its own different way of storing data, like basic ID info, vax lots, etc. Trying to figure out a single accepted format and then convert vaccination records of every person in America to said format would take an eternity, especially if the goalposts of "fully vaxxed" keep getting constantly moved and more and more records are stuffed into the systems. Not everyone has the latest and greatest technologies or the most quickest or efficient project management. A lot of of the top hat CTOs you see tend to have big egos, be super boomer, or both. Government-run things also always tend to crawl to a slow or crash at the worst possible moments. Better not hope it goes down when you're trying to go somewhere important.
After all of that, there is the problem of incorrect/missing/long forgotten records, either due to low wagies "forgetting" to input the record during the rollout, or places mysteriously losing their records, or maybe you got it overseas, or maybe you moved/married/divorced, etc. I've seen various city subreddits threads where normies complain that their jab records are missing or ABC record system sucks because they have my record for X jab but not Y jab, etc. Now multiply that by 10000 or so to include non-redditor Karens and joggers. Do you really think low paying gov't workers are going to take the time to deal with and investigate every single case of this that comes in and verify yes you actually took it or no you're just BSing, especially if its like time-sensitive? For college I had to fill out dates of when I took "required" jabs as a toddler and had to BS a few cause my old doctor had long since retired and no one ever questioned it.
Somewhat related, but recently Washington state rolled out their online "verification" process for opting out of their recently unpopular state-funded-LTC-totally-not-backdoor-income tax. The guidelines were that you had to have a private LTC insurance policy set to start by a certain date. Besides clicking an attestation checkbox, the proof you had to upload? Just a proof of ID. Literally nothing from your actual policy. Will they actually check? Who knows, probably not, given how clearly rushed and off guard people were thrown off.
I could be wrong, but imo a brief skim of the bill's contents gave off to me a "let's throw money at things and hopefully things will improve" in the same way liberal cities keep throwing money at the homeless problem on useless studies, grants, and equality job positions.
