Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Joe, Kamala and Pelosi all unquestioningly jumped onto the train of defending Jussie Smollett, and then didn't bother to retract their comments as evidence came out that he most likely pulled a hoax, so I think this fits here.

*I've just found out there's security camera footage of the two "attackers" he hired literally practicing the attack with Smollett a day before. I knew it was a hoax of course but now I don't even need to have the 'most likely' because we have video proof it was fake.

Smollett is in the later stages of his trial and he appears to have hired some actors as his defense lawyers, because they have made some frankly bizarre accusations. During a sidebar conversation with the judge, defense and prosecution, defense attorney Tamara Walker started by demanding a mistrial because of an unspecified comment she said Judge James Linn made, and then started crying and accused Linn of 'lunging' at her. Another attorney randomly accused Linn of 'snarling' and 'making faces' during the trial. He denied all the claims and then the motion for mistrial.

If you want to have your popcorn prepared for the verdict, the jury is expected to begin deliberations on Monday or Tuesday. I am sure it will be quite civil and nobody will demonstrate faux outrage about the result.

Manchin's behavior feels odd. I'll concur that when a little more time passes, and Manchin votes on or says more things, the justification for why he's acting the way he's acting will become more obvious.

In some more light-hearted news: Lin Wood released some emails claiming that Tucker Carlson went to Hunter in 2014 and begged that he write a letter of recommendation to Georgetown University for Tucker's son. Tucker's son didn't go to Georgetown but it begs a bunch of questions, one of them being how Lin has the emails in the first place.

e: Apparently Lin Wood got this screenshot from David Clements, who himself got it from a source named 'G', who got it from Terpsichore Maras-Lindeman. The fuck's going on?

Somewhat "old" news. This came out when Hunter's laptop was dumped last year. This email was in the laptop and made the rounds and Tucker was lambasted for it because the cuck refused to jump on the Hunter's laptop story and no one knew why. Then this email was discovered and people realized Hunter did Tucker a favor and that's why Tucker gave Hunter a free ride and some people started calling Tucker out in the comments of his broadcasts for it. To be honest I haven't watched a single Tucker broadcast since that happened last year. I don't trust him.

GOP driven government shutdowns did hurt the GOP big time during the Clinton and Obama years. Newt completely fucked up the shutdown optics (making it seem like he shut down the government because Clinton wouldn't give him a decent seat on Air Force One) in 1995 and allowed Clinton and the media to paint the GOP as petty shits. Bob Dole in particular, NEVER forgave Newt Gingrich for the shutdown. Dole believes the GOP had a decent shot to beat Bill in 1996 after the trouncing Democrats received losing control over both branches of Congress. But then Newt came along and shut down the government over petty seating arrangement issues and the public turned back to the Democrats as "the adults in the room.

As an almost 50 year old New Yorker, kids here won't remember when this headline ran in NYC. I do.

I live in the district of one of these RINOs and sent them a short email rebuke. In response, I got a call and voicemail from a staffer saying that they want to clear up information going around "that's not entirely accurate." Anyone else here getting the gaslighting treatment?

Private businesses can choose who they want working for them and who they prefer not to have working for them as long as it's not based on ace, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, and political affiliation.
wow this is the exact same non sequitur I got from my state senator about the Biden regime's attempted mandates. It was such a reach I didn't even suspect it could be on the NPC talking points list.
