i don't understand how people can tolerate her mediocre art or how she "designs" her characters. if it was a straight white male all of autumn's twitter circle would whine how sexist and racist white men are, but when autumn does it, no one bats an eye, even though she's doing the same art everyone on twitter complains about. another thing i don't understand about autumn's art/characters is that she doesn't give her characters any personality and throws them away a day later for another generic "big boobed lesbian uwu". the thing i noticed about most lolcow artists is that they cannot come up with creative ocs if their life depended on it.

Wait a second... if Rudolph is an anthropomorphic reindeer, isn't it kind of a fucked-up thing to have her drag a sled around with the other reindeer while Miss N. Pole gets to have a cushy office job for Santa? The implications of a reindeer hierarchy are kind of dark when you think about it like Pluto and Goofy. :\

I don't often criticize Autumn's designs, but every once in a while, there's something that catches my eye. As expected, it seems like she's still struggling to give form to basic shapes, as the bell on the collar looks totally flat, almost like it's part of the character's top. The texturing being used as shading to me looks like fishnets or very thin fabric awkwardly clinging to the body. And it's an odd choice to make a sexy version of Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer, only for the nose to not be all that shiny nor bright. Without the little white lines, I doubt most people seeing this would recognize this as Rudolph. And speaking of those lines, part of the shading in the hair overlaps on one of them, which goes to show how the textured shading was haphazardly slapped onto the character.

I think it's been broken down and discussed in the past, but when it comes to character designs and personality, practically all of them are so simplistic and one-dimensional. All of them fit into at least one or more stereotypes:
  • Very aggressive, or at least moody/anti-social
    • Usually depicted smoking and/or flipping the bird (or at least what slightly resembles the middle finger on the character's potato hand)
    • For the more serious characters, gotta throw in some extra edge
  • Appears scary or dangerous, but is actually quite nice
    • Oh and of course, the nice character's also very gay and protective of their crush
  • Super friendly and wholesome™ and likes to be outgoing around others
    • They're sometimes big airheads and suck at their jobs, but at least they're so cute and are trying their best uwu
  • Smug and literally nothing else.

Autumn, your art has not improved that much from a year ago. Many of the problems from last year still exist in your art and continue to pop up whenever you decide to cut corners or are too lazy to do much beyond sketch some lines and use fill tool with some brush.

Also, her saying that it's okay for her characters nowadays to look like hookers and coomer bait at every point and turn is slightly infuriating. She knows she is drawing content that should be on an alt account away from her minor portion of her fanbase, but she just doesn't care. I couldn't care less if she kept drawing this kind of content, but I'd rather see her move all this coomer content to another account or rebrand as an NSFW account so that she stops being a terrible influence on her cultist following.

And also, she balanced out the trauma post loss and is still gaining more beyond that.

I find it funny how i forgot about her months ago. That was until one of artist I follow retweeted her art and made me pause. The artstyle. The messed up body and poor attempt of suggestiveness.... I didn't know she changed her name so when I look at the drawing I had to jog my brain. Thus i came back here to see if I wasn't just mistaking that shitty simplified art style and to my surprise I am right. Honestly the fact that months later i was able to recognize that shitty artstyle and character designs speaks volumes on how bad she is at improving. Even i don't draw that much but over recent months my artstyle improved.

curiously I noticed she hasn't been obnoxiously talking about how autistic she is lately. Haven't heard her blogging about her PuPpY sTiMs and talking about barking and flapping her hands to stim. Guess she got tired of larping 'symptoms' she didn't have. (She could be legit autistic, there's no solid evidence to prove it one way or the other rn)

But cmon guis, stop being ableist!!!1! drawing hookers and coomer art is her new hyperfixation special interest and if u dont respect that you are a racist transphobic bully!

damn, autumn, we get it, YOU LEARNED A NEW broken spine boobs&ass POSE, can you maybe chill with it?

in pretty short time period, its 3rd time shes doing the same specific pose (monster girl, rudolph, buer), like a middleschooler who just learned to draw one new thing and then just spams same ass drawings of it.

gotta give credit tho, still better than the bunch of identical puppy t-rex pose ones, but thats not saying much.

I like how she spoilers Buer's character arc by revealing that the arrogant, selfish president is actually soft and cares about others...in the replies.
Show not Tell, Autumn. I'd rather learn Buer is a deep. nuanced character from scenes from your comic then of you telling me that she's deep and nuanced.

That is, of course, if the comic ever gets made.
