Phil is begging for buy in for Vice City because he will be making "ZERO... <fingers in form of O presented to the camera>"
He must have forgot that he told us he is making ad revenue. He said his income held steady while playing GTA:SA, Fortttzaaa, and Guardians, it just didn't go up as it usually does. This means that, regardless of the truth, by Phil's own admission, he is making something off ad revenue, just a reduced amount.
So when he says "ZEERROOOO", what he actually means is "zero extra income" and is just lying. By his own explanation of his revenue. If he was making nothing, his income would not have remained steady.
Curiously, he mentioned the fact that his income 'held steady' 2 minutes after saying he makes nothing.
He is now screaming that the sky is falling with every single playthrough. There is a reason to need 'buy in' for every one of them. Lost ad revenue? Gotta buy in! Metroidvania is allegedly 'always' slow? Gotta buy in! Halo is back and Phil isn't sure if the franchise is still loved? Gotta buy in! Fortttzaaa is a chill playthrough and Phil isn't sure if people want to chill anymore? Gotta buy in! These are fast, easy emergencies to manufacture, they're paying off, and in typical Phil fashion, that means you just spam it on repeat until it starts to yield diminishing returns.
