Without giving too many details, there is a kid in my community who has hydranencephaly who is 16. Her head is close to 24” across and her body is the size of a 4 year old. Totally horrific.

That’s truly fucking horrifying if she actually reads this thread and the only thing she gets out of it is “These people don’t actually believe I breastfeed my children!” Robyn, you are an immensely stupid and insane sociopath with one dying child and another you ignore and no amount of breast milk is going to change that. Put down the $4,000 TENS machine and start paying attention to your fully functioning child because there’s nothing you can do about the vegetable. Looks like cradle cap (seborrheic dermatitis) to me. Luna gets it quite a lot, and you can get it in your eyebrows as well as on your scalp. There's lots of cheap over-the-counter shampoos that will fix it, even some specifically for newborn babies, so it'd be gentle on her skin.
This is actually one problem that coconut oil can help with, too. Get that shit out of the poor girl's eyes and use it on her scalp instead to loosen up the flakes before shampooing.

Is this actually a good idea? As I’ve read the cause isn’t connected to hygiene (and for all their problems, they do keep their children clean), but I’m wondering if the hygiene routine is what’s allowing it to stick around. I would be horrified trying to scrub shampoo onto Luna’s scalp. You could probably touch her brain if you applied any pressure.
