Anime News Network (ANN), Christopher Macdonald & Co. - "Unbiased" Reporting on All Things Anime Related By Snobbish Quebec-Based Web Company. Acquired by Kadokawa.

When you have Shinji’s American dubbed voice actor saying a reasonable statement over people working in a place called Anime News Network, you start to realize that Komm, süsser Tod was not meant to be taken as a joke

Spike laying it down to all those screeching at him.

Y'know just a random thought, when these people call fanservice "male gaze" or straight male pandering I think I find it most funny that apparently to them lesbians don't exist and only straight men can like fanservice.
And then you got people saying that F/F is “playing it safe” when it comes to LGBT representation. Or that lesbians are fetishized.

They're all for it if its an American company like naughty dog, with having the troon and whatever have literal sex, but Sony will censor anime tiddies in a swimsuit.

But it's fine if its in a way they want it, but if its for "cis straight white males" its bad.

He really is based, holy crap.

It's strange how polar opposites some of the original Evangelion VAs were compared to their characters.

Shinji's VA is based and has an outgoing personality.
Rei's VA is well, it goes without saying.
All that’s missing we have to know is Asuka. And Misato. And Ritsuko. And Gendo.

I was intrigued with the Dirty Pair Kickstarter campaign, then I read how involved Mike Toole is and that turned me off.
  • #6: (MISSION COMPLETE) We will invite noted Anime Historian Mike Toole to choose an episode of the TV series to give his take on Dirty Pair and how it has influenced the anime market. Editor-at-large for Anime News Network, Mike has been writing professionally about anime and manga for over twenty years for publications like Otaku USA and Sci-Fi Magazine. He’s also a freelance video producer, having supervised a number of projects for our friends at Discotek Media.
  • #11: (MISSION COMPLETE) We will invite Mr. Toole back to get his take on the Dirty Pair OVA series. Mike has already chosen his episode. Do you have any guess which one it will be?
  • #14: (MISSION COMPLETE) Mr. Toole will revisit the Dirty Pair Features. We're going to let him decide which one. It should be interesting to hear from him how these feature films continued the Pair's adventures after the original TV series.

There's been a couple of audio commentaries with people that really have nothing to do with the medium. I know Bennett the Sage was on the Gunsmith Cats disc, Matt McMuscles is on the Final Fight OVAs and Mike Toole is on a bunch of Discotek ones. Thankfully they're optional, but I'll wait to pick up the disc used and I still have the DVDs which work just fine.

Update: Spike deleted his tweets and his justification of said tweets to Lynzee. Also, he uploaded an apology video after "talks with some friends" on his Facebook page.
