For me she needs to stop looking at it as filtering her audience and more as 'I'm going to do what I want to do that's best in my current situation'. When she mentioned wanting to collab with Zen and half of chat had an aneurysm is a good example: I personally don't watch or enjoy Zentraeya but I would watch a Pippa/Zen gecko stream. And her telling someone to essentially get fucked when they said they'd unsub if she did it is the right answer. I'm not a Vshoujo fan but I can see how this collab could benefit Pippa so I can be pragmatic about it. She should probably talk to Tenma or Muumi if she's nervous about asking people to collab, use your coworkers to your benefit, they're there to help you succeed (ideally).

I think it's good to be introspective and look for ways to improve yourself, but it's also important to treasure what you have. There will always be someone better off than you, and it's easy to lose sight of what you have when you're tunnel visioning on what you want.

Metrics like sub counts and view counts aren't quite like developing a skill like playing guitar, either, more akin to being the guitar player trying to get people to show up to listen to you play. However, the analogy is still good because that is where Pippa stumbles - marketability, networking, etc. Maybe she should ask Tenma for tips, as she's currently growing the fastest and is starting to creep up on Lia and Uruka.

Pippa should follow the advice of Kaichou: "Never stop trying new things." She should also change her profile picture back to something cute, seriously, which of these is the average VTuber fan least likely to click on?

Since both are Pippa-related I will reply to both at once. Pippa needs to be more social and she needs to collab with others that way she can pull in new viewers from other places. There is only so much growing you can do when your viewers are kiwi and chan users. I don't think the toxic gamer part that sometimes shows up will filter that many people considering that you have people like Tyler1 being super popular streamers. I do feel like she might be limiting her game options a bit but with this comes the problem that new games will attract new viewers but if the talent doesn't seem to like the game it will end up filtering them.

I know she is a bit socially retarded but maybe she could talk to management to see if they can reach out and do some of the networking for her. The important part is for her to suppress the autism for a couple of hours once the collab is going on. Play party-style games like Jackbox with the other members. Schedule Mario Kart tournaments with other vtuber groups. Play shit like Worms or other silly/simple pvp games.


This is for Phase Connect as a whole:
1. Upload high res PNGs of the girls faces doing different expressions on the website (under a Media tag). This will make it easier for clippers to create thumbnails.

2. Consider advertising yourself in other streamer's channels. Nagzz and Koeficient do "Fan Submitted Vtuber Clips Reactions". Hell use the best/funniest clips from the contest and have them react to it. That will help get some viewers in.

3. Try to incorporate more english into the JP girls streams.

4. There are channels that react mainly to music. Michiru has a really catchy original song. Try to see if you can get the song to play at a radio station or try to incorporate the song into a BGM format and tell people they can use it as long as they link to the original video. VeloCity often does song reactions and they also like to view different KING covers (which 3 of the girls have a cover of)

I remember seeing some Phase Connect youtube ads, have they tried other websites like Twitch/Facebook/Tiktok/Twitter ads?

It's hard to separate art from artist when the artist can't keep their shit on the artist side, like Artia did by encouraging the chink brigade to go after Coco. On the other hand If the artist is Pippa herself and her deal is just having questionable taste in oshis then that's far easier to swallow.

I hope this isn't the start of creative differences between Ame and management.

also. Akatsuki Higure has split her channels into a gaming and singing channel (not sure why because I’d prefer she just have 5 singing channels), but her first concert on her new channel is tomorrow night.

If you haven’t seen her sing before, I really do recommend you at least give her a shot. In my opinion, she may not quite be Suisei good, but I think she’s definitely as good as Inui Toko or Matsuri are, and when she’s really into it, she’ll do 5+ hour streams.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, yagoo saying hololive was an idol company was the biggest mistake he could have made. Because then staff feels they need to uphold that idol image. It limits haachama, it limited coco, and now it limits ame. The only good thing about being an idol company for them is you can charge outrageous prices for inshow events and nobody would bat an eye, which i would assume gives the talents a good payout. Otherwise its a constant game of don't break the ice, and the talents are constantly walking on thin ice when its not even necessary.

Otherwise its a constant game of don't break the ice, and the talents are constantly walking on thin ice when its not even necessary.

The thing is, the japs knew that "Idol" is allowed to do some weird shits, just look at the peak years of AKB and co. The problems are, the EN management doesn't know that, thinking "Idols" must be pure and seiso. And then, there's also the changing of perception of what are "Idols" themselves due to the influence from Korea, and this also affects Japan who must adapt to the pressure. Korean idols are, though also allowed to do some weird shits, tend to be more seiso due to the culture and nature of their industry.

It makes the company seem more professional when they have certain rules and standards to follow. Take Vshojo for example lol. Limiting members isn't because of idol reasons but for business reasons. They don't want another member being accidentally Coco'd as well. But I'll agree that Hololive seems to be playing it too safe at the moment.

ID isn't popular because they're Indonesian. When was the last time you heard someone like Indonesia other than the old guy who goes to SEA every summer.

one question thag we'll never get an answer to is if the PC contract is year to year and if fishman takes out the stipend portion whenever they renew the gen 1 contracts. gen2 isnt getting a stipend but i dont see how PC would keep gen1 on the payroll as employees.

otoh, i can see fishman doing this because he geniuinely wants his own VT company and keeping gen1 on the dole because they helped PC get rolling.

The lack of transparency is what is always at the back of my mind with Phase Connect and any corpo really. Yuni/Pippa and Tenma/Galaxy have their own personal tipjars if you really want to send it them directly without the corpo cut but I like to think that it's an investment into the product itself then just funding a millionaire fishman. I think the reason Gen2 isn't get a stipend is because they feel that the earlier gens are getting enough that makes the stipend irrelevant. However, there may be a consensus that the second generation is sink or swim, that they themselves are responsible for their own fortunes. The reasoning behind this train of thought is management telling Pippa to commission for artwork for herself, to help promote herself. To me, this is odd for a couple of reasons. Without high res of the other models plus a reference sheet being readily available (they can be hard to find), it makes it a bit harder to make artwork. Make it a little easier by creating a Phase Connect pixiv account, getting either permission from their respective artists and uploading it the PC account or asking the artist to upload to their own account so image aggregator sites like the gel and danboorus can add them (only Pippa's is currently up and Iori posts hers up everytime with her schedule). Also it'll help clean the front page of the pixiv since all I see are futa dongs which isn't a bad thing but can filter some people. Leadership 101, lead the way, do what you can for the talents before asking them to commission art on their own accord. It is hard to build a community since almost all the people can that build and nurture a community are already with Niji and Hololive so the options are really limited. One of the keys to the success of Hololive is A-chan who is without a doubt in my mind one of the pillars of that company, not everyone has an A-chan to lead the charge. They recently hired an editor for their main channel a three weeks or so ago, 角卷波貼chi, who has been making shorts and clips. Maybe one day one of the clips will become viral but it's really about persistence. This isn't really a blueprint to success and it might not even lead to an increase of artwork but every effort to help foster a community is important in the long run. Here's to hoping Phase Connect takes their percentage of donos and commissions MMD and SFM models for reasons. And here's to hoping more Phase Connect members play Ring Fit.

Coco's situation wouldn't have been NEARLY as bad if cover hadn't fucked up and mixed the ban list with the mod list, which let the chinks unban the other chinks and cause fucking havoc. That was what caused all hell to break lose and her to cry and most definitely one of the things that led to her quitting. If they hadn't of fucked that up and got enough of them banned to make it manageable, a good majority would eventually lose interest.
