A capacity for "healthy exploration"? Yeah, not gonna happen - once you put the kids on the blockers you're preventing them from exploring possibilities outside "trapped in the wrong body" as to why they're feeling that way. It could be underlying mental health issues, anxiety around growing up, the kid could turn out to be gay, maybe they're a victim of bullying and are looking for a place to belong or a way to protect themselves. Their brains are going to be stuck in that childlike state of "I don't care what you say, I know what I want and I want it NOW!". Like the way this is handled when it comes to adults is bad enough, but kids...how is this not child abuse?

A Melbourne woman was walking home when another woman grabbed her and told her to “lie down and have sex with me” in a shocking attack.
Lisa Jones pleaded guilty to assault with intent to commit a sexual offence and sexual assault.

She was jailed for three years and three months in the County Court of Victoria on Tuesday.

Jones, a transgender woman, spotted her victim and followed the other female down Lennox Street in Richmond in February this year.

The 44-year-old grabbed her victim’s arm in a “strong grip”, forcing the woman to face her and then grabbed her jeans.

“Why won’t you lie down and have sex with me,” Jones told her victim.

The other woman, who was on a call to her mum, started screaming and yelled out her location before Jones grabbed the phone and the call was disconnected.

Jones put her hands down the woman’s pants and tried to pull down her victim’s jeans but the other woman was able to fight her off as bystanders came rushing to her aid.

A Good Samaritan chased down Jones and stopped her before police arrived at the scene.

“I didn’t do anything, it was her fault,” Jones said.

During a record of interview, she told police the woman started “freaking out” after they physically ran into each other and denied telling the woman to lie down for sex.

The victim described her attacker as someone who “appeared transgender”.

“Out of the blue she was confronted by you – a complete stranger,” Judge Pardeep Tiwana said.

“You physically restrained her despite her screams for help and telling you to stop, you persisted.”

It was a “brazen and opportunistic” attack against a complete stranger who was walking home, he said.

It was revealed in court Jones spent six years in a male prison in Germany for sexually abusing a six-year-old girl, before she transitioned.

Her time in the male prison was a “traumatic and harrowing” experience for Jones but did little to deter further sexual offending, Judge Tiwana said.

She was deported to Australia in 2018 and moved to the ACT, where she started hormone replacement therapy before returning to live in Melbourne.

The court heard Jones had suffered gender dysphoria and identified as female from a young age but after a breakdown at eight lived as a boy to survive family life.

During her time in custody there was a “sharp decline” in her mental health in June and is struggling with solitary confinement.

Jones must serve at least 22 months behind bars before being eligible for parole and will be a registered sex offender for life.

I am a believer in medical autonomy —people should be allowed to have the final say in whatever medical procedure they go through as long as there's standards in place to check the capacity for these people to consent to treatment.

However, medical autonomy can only exist in a scenario where the patient is well knowledgeable on medical literature detailing the complications, technicalities and outcomes of both the illness (if there's any) and the chosen treatment.

How are minors going to be capable to consent to medical intervention when their brain hasn't even fully developed yet? How are minors going to make informed decisions when critical aspects of said treatment and illness are hidden from them?

(The last point goes for the parents of these minors too —they are not being truly informed at all)

Pushing SRS/HRT as the default treatment option for Dysphoria completely ignores the fact that Dysphoria can happen alongside other mental illnesses and can even be a symptom of untreated mental illness in itself.

When there's literature evidencing that some cases of Dysphoria are temporary and can be easily medicated away, it becomes unethical to not disclosure this information to the patient.

Hell, I find unethical that the WPATH doesn't clearly disclosures the fact that the evidence proving that HRT/SRS improves mental health is flimsy at best.

Troons are dead set in poisoning the well of medical standards and research on Dysphoria. If this doesn't show their contempt for Dysphoric people then I don't know what it does.

I can regurgitate them better than many TRAs can because I understand the reasoning that drives and supports them so well. I just disagree.

It is also a tad funny when TRAs claim transphobes are just operating on their disgust for GNC people. I have been GNC all my life. I have been into androgyny and androgynous fashion all my life. I like men with makeup and long hair, on heels and in skirts. I just do not think they are women.

It is impossible to tell because now you don’t know what is the result of brain damage from puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones from early puberty.

If the stuff about his childhood is true he might have been the type to actually troon out before the current gender mania began. An HSTS “troon classic” if you will. I do think he passes reasonably well appearance-wise for a woman with a strong jaw; some Slavic women especially have square jaws like that.

But there is something weird about the rest of his features, like is face is too small for his skull. And he looks really young, not in a good “I have nice skin” way; he looks like a teenager whose features haven’t quite matured. I thought he was 18 or 19 from pictures, but he’s close to 30.

The issue here is that Kim started treatment extremely early, and so this is the “best” result TRAs can hope for. Leaving aside the ethics of troonery in general and the fact that he still isn’t a woman despite “passing” or not: this is the absolute summit of early-as-possible hormone therapy. This is what apparently makes it worth it to stunt puberty and destroy growing bones and mutilate kids. This is the best they can do with all that experimentation and power. A weird-looking childish face on a giant skull.
