This is the finest pickle.I was thinking along the same lines about the question of what power, practically speaking, Bonnie really wields as the "owner" of the property. Like you say, depending on what on-paper arrangements exist with the other tranchers he can call the law and kick them off. Unlikely for about fifteen reasons. And then there's not a hell of a lot else he has in terms of leverage until you get to the nuclear option where he tries to divorce Sky and sell the property.
And then what? Congratulations, you have a piece of land that's been annihilated by the animals and a rickety house that's been annihilated by the troons. A literal pile of shit, as we've seen recently. Who buys that for any amount of money, let alone enough to cover what they owe on the mortgage?
Penny may be a sick fuck alien weirdo, but it seems like he's smart enough to understand when that it comes to playing chicken over this, Bonnie is the one that has to swerve.
If everything stays as it is, Bonnie and Alyssa have no way of making money. The only way they can make money is by going back to the Tranch, which they cannot do without moving the Tranchers out. But they cannot remove the Tranchers without making the Tranch worthless, leaving Bonnie and Alyssa with no way of making money. The only other way to make money is for Bonnie to dump Alyssa and return to the Tranch. Dumping Alyssa would trigger a BPD fury that would nuke the Tranch from orbit with abuse accusations, leaving Bonnie with ... no way of making money.
