Anyone listen to this podcast?
I’ll be honest, I was waiting for someone else to do it.

Coming up on 2 weeks:

Hmm, so I did listen. No big surprises…

[edit, this is about the science witch podcast which just came out, not the one KiwiFuzz just mentioned]

It was Penny and Jay who is the permaculture expert (I had thought that was Jarrod?). They sounded fairly upbeat. Those two, their voices are basically normal male voices to me, not too grating to listen to.

Apparently the documentary has just been finished and will be out soon, and Ash Coyote is filming something else with them now.

The number one problem they have is inter-group social issues, you’ll be astonished to hear. Thinly veiled references to toxic people who don’t fit in.

They’re doing some landscaping work to make money currently - they only work for old rich liberals.

Some sad tales of chicken flocks being wiped out by predators. Penny doesn’t mind killing chickens though as they aren’t cute. A neighbouring rancher got the blame for bringing in a disease that killed a lot of their sheep.

A fair amount of dubious claims. E.g. the land was terribly over-grazed when they got there, and they’re improving it. Alpaca pay for themselves in yarn sales no problem.

The fascists got a few mentions, and apparently the big attack was all captured for the documentary so it will be genuinely interesting to see what happened there.

All in all, a puff piece, but worth a listen.

Well that's just a lie, seeing as how the podcast came out on March 17th

oh boy, Can't wait to see that (this would recquire the documentary to come out though)

Sure, but I was surprised this didn't appear in the summary in the previous post.
That might be because I listened to a completely different podcast interview that they posted yesterday. Oops.

Thanks, that makes a lot more sense of your post, especially the parts of your interpretation that applied more to things now than to things in March.

heh, thanks for pointing that out. It was a coincidence I’d just seen that other podcast on their timeline and assumed KF was talking about that. Never assume.

He's been doing a good 40% of the heavy work around the place, and while the tranch food doesn't look terribly appealing, there's plenty of protein. That's a better workout than any gym'll give you.

I'm serious about "He could do better" too. Strong lad, not ancient, works hard and doesn't have a complete disaster of a face in the middle of ranching country? He should be fighting them off with a stick every time he goes into town.
If the Tranch is Animal Farm, is Sky Boxer?

An Adam Curtis documentary that earnestly tied the antics of lolcows into ebbs and flows in the geopolitical landscape would truly be a chin-stroking spectacle to behold. Watch it with your occasionally vegan girlfriend who will not shut up about Karl Marx.

CURTIS: "What the ranchers had failed to anticipate was that their Alpacas would adopt social principles that were contrary to their owners' vision for the future. Within minutes of the herd's arrival the animals instinctively organised themselves in a hierarchal group based around binary gender norms. All that the Rancher's could do was watch helplessly as the fires of revolution consumed their dream from the inside out.

Meanwhile, in Prague..."

I'd love to send Louis Theroux out to the tranch for one of his weird weekends
Imagining him slowly grilling them with his patented technique is giving me a bit of a semi

'so Katherine you're the meechandising manager of this venture? What does that involve?'

'It's Sky is it? I understand recently some members of the ranch left under something of a cloud, could you give your version of events Sky?

it'd be comedy gold

I truely hope that footage sees the light of day. Not a clue what we'll actually see but it's going to be amazing.

I can imagine it'll be jarrod and one of the field troons disguised in count olaf tier nazi gear running across the tranch and being told to GTFO by bonnie and penny whereupon they throw their SS caps on the ground and exclaim 'AND I WOULD HAVE INFLATED ALL THE TIRES IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU MEDDLING BRAVE TRANSWOMEN' before trundling off

I'd expect a lot of gesticulating, armed trannies running around with binoculars, looking and pointing at the horizon where the 1st SS Panzer Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler allegedly lies in wait. Cut to shots of daytime, when they were putting up the fence with someone on the lookout. Perhaps, just perhaps, Penny arguing with a few dazed hillbillies with a MAGA button.

But not much in the way of, you know, evidence.
