Twitter shows you trends based on "who you follow, your interests, and your location." So dumpster diving wouldn't be necessary if they happen to follow vtubers. It does mean that most people who see the trend are probably vtuber fans, or at the least, general weebs.

I think Twitter has two tending tags now: a “For You” based on who you follow and what you retweet/like, and an overall “Trending” that covers the overall main topics of the site at the time.

Fair, but I don’t think every comment was like that either. Just a general show of support over an issue of a fairly major scheduled stream. If this was over just a random video game stream or something, like Pokémon BD (4), I’d definitely think it was silly for people to react like this.

January is a slow month associated with low economic activity. Usually nothing happens in January. I would say February.

That is a safe bet, yeah. Wouldn't make sense to have them debut in the last week of December when people are busy with holiday stuff.

I caught wind of the absolutely bonkers Yumenographia/Yakuza ties discussion the other day and quickly realised that good faith discussion about Anycolor/Niji is less favourable than simply parroting 4ch rrats to compensate for lack of understanding on the subject matter. It made me happy seeing some Holofans here subscribe to Selen after her birthday stream, but on the whole the only time Niji discussions gain any traction is when they're getting blasted, which is exhausting when I want to talk about them more positively.

I like Pomu and Hana, but there's nothing really to discuss about them most of the time. People are perfectly happy to throw shit at Cover or any other corporation when they screw up, too.

When I was younger I came across this person in discords sometimes, usernames were also Piety and Chara. It is a tranny American man from Michigan pretending to be a Russian woman (sometimes it makes the persona half Asian for more simps) and their life revolves around manipulating basement dwllers to hurt themselves and give it money. Nobody really knows if it really tortures animals or not.

I have a feeling that when youtube releases its update on streaming features it can definitely become a comparator to twitch. Most of Twitch's attempts to make it easier for streamers to be discovered never work as intended.

On the front page, you'll get a category of recommendations for streamers that are "similar" to whatever streamer you last watched, this mostly works well if you last watched someone who averages a thousand or more views a stream but if it's someone with a few hundred or less they'll just recommend furfags with two views and pronouns in their tags.

The new feature that lets viewers promote streamers they watch is even worse, I keep clicking out of streams thinking I clicked on the wrong one because I got an ad that's just a random portion of someone else's stream

But the worst part of Twitch has to be the moderation. Their copyright system somehow makes Youtube's look good and their rules can at times be reminiscent of a dystopian dictatorship. At least on Youtube, you can interview a banned person or jokingly imply that someone is sleeping with the staff and get away with it as long as you haven't done something to really piss off the top 1% of youtube.

Its not just your hunch, Youtube is trying to make their streaming tools and features as closely as Twitch as possible, while still retaining their platforms' strength. And VTubers kind of show that yes, streaming on Youtube is also a choice

edit: Now the SC reading has climbed to $10.9k so I guess that one hadn't finished totaling up yet. Also I believe that puts her SC debut stream as a strong #2 most SC stream behind only Coco's graduation, and by far the biggest debut.

With constant doom posting about Kiara and Calli, shitting on Ayame for not streaming, and the sea of rrats involving Ollie, and holopro management in general.

I feel like if you think that the other corpos get unfairly targeted, you're just not paying attention. Obviously there are exceptional people here that take any opportunity to shit on xyz company of choice, but if you're so upset about it that it drives you away from the thread, then you might need to take your meds and touch some grass.
