That's probably the compassionate way of looking at it. My first thought was "dude's making it hard to feel sorry for him", but when you stop and realize that this here is a man with the brain of literal child, it's easier to feel sympathy for what's about to happen.

And a lot of people have been in car accidents that left them with long-term problems. I was in two car accidents when I was 18. One where I was a passenger and the car rolled, compressing one of the disks in my lumbar, and the second where I was driving and got T-Boned and the impact to my door impacted my left knee resulting in deep joint trauma. You know what I did when it continued to cause me frequent pain and mobility issues? I listened to my doctor, got more active, and lost a ton of weight. Now I rarely have major pain. You know what I DIDN'T do? Use my pain to emotionally manipulate people into giving me money and toys.

When people say that so-and-so is "fake trans", I usually parse that as "fake trans" rather than "fake trans". That is to say, fake trans as in "trendy trans", "fetish trans", "just a dude who gets a boner at the thought of being a chick" etc etc. Fake trannies are trannies who play at being trans, but somehow fall short of embodying the authentic trans-experience (whatever that may be).

When I hear deep lore like this, about Lou's dumb alteregos, about the charcters he idolizes and hero(ines) he wishes he could be, that's the sort of tranny I think of Lou as being. As a "fake trans". As a guy with a fetish. That's certainly how he presents most of the time.

But I've still got this sneaking suspicion that Lou is "fake trans" - as in, it's all a lie, everything from the ground up.
