Hmm, so I did listen. No big surprises…

[edit, this is about the science witch podcast which just came out, not the one KiwiFuzz just mentioned]

It was Penny and Jay who is the permaculture expert (I had thought that was Jarrod?). They sounded fairly upbeat. Those two, their voices are basically normal male voices to me, not too grating to listen to.

What permaculture? Have you planted a single bush or tree, or ground cover, or even a single plant in general? Your permaculture looks a lot like waiting for the top soil to erode and playing with your asses in the meantime.

Some sad tales of chicken flocks being wiped out by predators. Penny doesn’t mind killing chickens though as they aren’t cute. A neighbouring rancher got the blame for bringing in a disease that killed a lot of their sheep.

Careful penny, I'd like to argue that chickens are a whole lot cuter than you. Would be a shame if someone had the same level of contempt looking at you. Oh wait, they already do anyway.

Penny: 0, Chickens: 1

Thank you for your summary!

I recall an interesting documentary series by an English fellow named Adam Curtis, with the somewhat excessively hoity-toity title All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace. The first episode, "Love and Power," explores among other things why attempts at communal living almost always fail: because no matter how much the participants try to bullshit themselves about an equal distribution of power, someone is always going to try to be the more equal animal, especially when access to pussy enters the equation.

I now envision Bonnie and Kindness as a bipartite entity hollering WHO RUN BARTERTOWN.
Is that why monasteries were strictly men only?

When was the last time they had any significant media attention? The Samantha Bee segment was filmed over a year ago.

John Oliver was asked once about Joe Exotic, he said that after the Daily Show did a segment on him they were advised to keep their distance from him, because something might happen.

On the face of it an Alpaca farm run by stunning and brave trans women, should be the type of story that progressive media would be all over. Yet they're not. I wonder if it's all the guns knocking around.

Is it because they’re so embarrassingly obviously blokes doing bloke things that the piece would just be baffling and off putting to viewers?
That would kind of defeat the object.
The neglected looking land and animals doesn’t help matters either.

It's really the sort of thing that can't sustain goodwill. You hear a one-sentence synopsis and it sounds good. "Anarcho-socialist trans-haven and alpaca rescue". A person who wants to go along with the mainstream progressive narrative probably wouldn't have any problem with that, at worst seeing them as overly optimistic.

Then you look at the residents, you hear the residents, you see the land, you see the alpaca, you hear what they're saying... those things probably won't immediately make you turn against the tranchers, but they will make you say, "they really don't sound like women" or "they sure seem dysfunctional" or "the land looks overgrazed". The Tenacious Unicorn Ranch's ideal state is for mainstream progressives to hear about them once, donate some money, and then never hear about them again.

I'm no vet, but I'm 100 percent certain your dog's nose is NOT supposed to look like the backside of a gator.

More seriously, those dogs at the least need some kind of balm for their nose, and a checkup at the vet. These are some clear signs of neglect.
A quick Google tells me it's called hyperkeratosis, but other conditions can cause a scaly nose like that.
Jesus Christ I didn’t even noticed that bc I never enlarged the pics. So now we proof that they neglect every single animal they have, right?(as if there were any doubt)

A farm like that with so many animals crammed together absolutely needs regularly scheduled veterinary visits. But we've never heard of any.
Excuse me, but they absolutely had a vet come tend to their murdered alpacas and had at least one autopsy performed. Just because we never heard the result of the autopsy doesn’t mean it’s fake , you bigot.
