FFS, what does it take to get the message through? I like Twitter for it's normie content as much as the next guy but when you get banned, stay banned. What's the point in talking about getting on gab and creating viable alternatives if you just run back to Twitter anyway?

This is the alt tech problem in a nutshell: if you aren't doing anything that'll get you banned from big tech, why use the alternative? And so the alternative becomes political content only. Which is nice but no normal people use it because why would they?
The counter to this is growth. As alternative platforms grow they'll bring in content creators that aren't political. Like how dlive payed PewDiePie and sseth to show up. And now that there's content for normal people, the alternative can actually compete.

Running back to Twitter loses this. Making gab the place to see Nick and the groypers is good. Running back to Twitter when you can't be on there in any official capacity is stupid.

I use and enjoy Gab, but it's already fell into the same issue most alt tech does, it draws in people that get deleted/banned on twitter. Leftist will never use it in mass it's labeled as a nazi/white nationalist site. So you end up with an echo chamber that just stagnants to people just going at each other to have something to do. It's not a terrible place, just sort of an echo chamber at this point.
Nick got shit on for a week straight, he's not capable of dealing with that, they started reporting people they didn't like.
