It's perspective. If you view your actions as just than you view yourself as the noble federation using coercion and reeducation to bend others to your will. If you view the other side's actions as unjust than they're evil borgs using violence to achieve to their goals. But the end result is the same, assimilation of every species and culture into 1 universal nono-race and mono-culture e.g. globohomo neo-liberalism.

The whole reason the Federation works is because humanity got rid of dun coons, the dindus completed their ethnic self-genocide, and the chinks finally got sanctioned into compliance. It's actually pretty based.

It doesn't work. There are multiple episodes in TNG about Worf struggling because he is Klingon, either with humans or with his fellow people because he's assimilated too much into human culture.
