TSR, the new one that got canceled by wokies for the crime of Gary Gygax Jr saying he wanted to make an old school game without modern shit like gender idpol crap in it, is apparently suing WoTC. This is after WoTC employees were absolutely 100% involved in getting TSR and Gygax Jr banned from all conventions, publishing contracts blocked, getting people to quit working for them to avoid being blacklisted, etc etc.

It LOOKS like they're suing in part becuase WoTC is using TSR's trademark with older games (which WoTC no longer owns and thus cannot use without permission), and partially because the WoTC woke performative "disclaimer" claims in part that the TSR products were all horrifically racist and bigoted and yadda yadda... which kinda implies the TSR guys were horrifically racist and bigoted and yadda yadda.

This seems like a... odd way of going about it. They need to just file a defamation lawsuit, but they can't, because WoTC is just going to hide behind the "it's just our opinion you're nazis and white supremacists and hate women and poor innocent minorities wot are too stupid to be treated the same as everyone else" shield.
Imagine being so zealous over two known grifters coming up with a new grift because they said a few words.

Wokies have heavy Maoist influences. I still half expect to discover in the far future that a lot of this SJW bullshit is the result of CCP ops.

Mao's Cultural Revolution has three relevant tactics they are known to use.

Struggle Sessions, which is a major component of cancel culture
Entryism, where activists infiltrate a company and then twist it to service them
And intentionally destroying institutions they cannot control.

That is to say, anything that cannot be twisted (via entryism subversion and struggle sessions destroying resistance) into something useful for the party's great cultural revolution must be burned to the fucking ground so no one else can benefit from it.

With that in mind... applying this to the culture war they're performing, with tabletop specifically... they performed entryism with tabletop (working for almost free, gatekeeping once they had the chance, etc), and perform struggle sessions to consolidate power and drive everyone else out. Now it's about making sure there are no alternatives to their soggy woke droppings they want everyone to be forced to chow down on.

TSR had a real chance to get attention and create an alternative to the wokeshit. But they couldn't perform entryism on it. So they had to perform a struggle session on it, finding something they could pretend had something to do with some crime against the party (accusations of sexism for the sin of recognizing sex differences exist) and amplify that via the whisper network to burn it down. Remember, if TSR isn't going to be woke, TSR must be destroyed so no one can choose a non-woke alternative.

Cultural Maoists.

So a member of our group gifted me with the latest edition of Call of Cthulhu (AND the newest Arkham Horror, woot!) for bday.

Where's the supposed woke/pozzed/whatever funny term right wingers like using parts of it?

I don't know about CoC getting pozzed, but there was the Harlem module that someone put out that was pretty fully woketized

Lol calm down

Ah, I getcha.

Now I remember. I pointed out the "Dead Man Stomp" scenario in an older edition, which takes place in Harlem, and how it simply said "Hey, here's how race relations were and racial terms that were used if you're a stickler for accuracy. Okay? Now go play."
Now it's about making sure there are no alternatives to their soggy woke droppings they want everyone to be forced to chow down on.
That's a useless endeavor in this hobby. All it will do is further cause non-woke groups to simply vett their players better and exclude trouble makers. Which they should be doing anyway.

Even the worst wokescolds aren't going to kick my door in and demand we play our games the "correct" way.

I wouldn't atribute an organized plan to what may easily be explained as retarded spergery

For the best Call of Cthulhu sessions, look up Old Man Henderson on You Tube.

Yeah you can definitely do a Harlem setting in CoC. You could ratchet up the Gothic horror instead of the Horror Decco and probably do a really good final days of slavery/Reconstruction theme. (Plantation Owner in concert with a Old One Voodoo priest anyone?)

I wouldn't trust any one to actually do it competently because its all about being woke and preaching. No nuance, no character depth, just racism = bad (unless its blacks being racist against non-jewish whites).

Again, they don't have to. They just have divert the flow of new players and let your table wither and die as eventually someone is going to move (or die) and there won't be any replacements.

Second Lovecraft Country for woke CoC media. What could be a interesting twist on the Innsmouth concepts of racial purity just is an endless "Did you know that blacks used to experience racism? Did you? here are some blacks experiencing racism. Absolutely no reason for all these whites to be racist. What? No we won't show the extreme levels of xenophobia to blacks in the Asian and Latino communities, that would be oppressing black and brown bodies."

I've got Harlem Unbound on my shelf, well I like it. The history section doesn't pull any punches, and the adventures are generally pretty good.

The only bit that caught me as out there was the beliefs of one of the secret societies, that life began on Africa. Not Human beings, but like the first single celled organisms.
Do they mention big-headed Yakub?

There actually was one sort of like that in the old Mansions of Madness omnibus. It was a deep south plantation that had been taken over by a demonic rival of Yig the serpent god. The master of the estate and the black maid were in cahoots in worshipping the "serpent mother", subjugating the white and black workers and killing any who wouldn't capitulate (the hook is a black child who begs the party for help in getting his sister back and away from the cult). There even is a voodoo priest, but he's a spirit messenger of Yig who prods the party into lowering the creature's defenses so Yig can claim vengeance. It's a damn good scenario, easily the best of the collection. No WAY it would fly in the current climate, even though it shows that worship and corruption by the Great Old Ones respects no race or religion.

Oh and snakes. Snakes EVERYWHERE.

Oh, if I need some anger I will.
And I'm all too familiar with Old Man Henderson.

So Ubbo Salthla first dropped his life gunk in Africa?

So did you actually read it? I'm not blaming you if you didn't.
It's to me the main problem of wokeshit rules and guidelines, aside from them being wrong and counterproductive. If Wizards put something on their site as an optional download, a PDF of what to do if you and your group willingly choose to be "progressive" with your game, that'd be one thing. I could easily ignore it, and if someone wants x-cards and no races in their games or whatever, fine, that's their choice and it's not one I have to make for my own game. But they don't do that, they put the shit directly in the main books and tell you directly you're intended to use them, and if you don't go with the "progressive" things they want then you're doing something wrong. Saw a snip of pic related on 4chan from a Call of Cthulhu splat called Harlem Unbound. Checked it out myself and it's a prime example of the insanity getting into so many RPGs now.

They put their ideological talking points in the book and insist you and your players must fall in line. In Call of Cthulhu's case they're not even going with generic common sense stuff like be polite with each other or racism is bad, it's getting significantly more extreme.

Well, yeah that's egg on my face for not remembering that part of the keepers section. Redefining racism like that is pretty shitty.
Hmmph. Read that myself. Me and my group broke all three of those rules (a murderous mob hitter and a Louisiana plantation owner using the word NIGGER, the horror!) and would do it again.

That's what's so great about tabletop gaming. You can ignore anything you don't like and homebrew the rest and there's nothing the Woke can do about it.
