I'm in no position to speculate, but I would imagine that when companies hire people with a rap sheet, the managers really watch them closely, off the record. Kind of like people charged with possession of drugs, the manager will be on them if they sniff white out. Most of the incentives to hire people with a record are for felons, people with multiple misdemeanors have a much much harder time finding employment
