It deprives the immigrant's nation of labor, which they often need more than the country they're moving to. And it objectively displaces the native population. All of which also empowers major corporations to outcompete and destroy smaller businesses. Also, it's just colonization in the reverse direction. Instead of going overseas to enslave foreigners now governments just bring the foreigners in to enslave them AND the native population.
