He choosed harvard because his crazy mommy wanted "a kid who went to Harvard!" except that she should have pushed the Harvard thing to the others siblings before, Jazz is the last one in this family who is competent enough to study there, even Jazz is aware of that fact and wanted Pomona in the first place, tbh if Jazz went to Pomona we wouldn't have him with 240 lb, I mean he would still be fat but not that fat. Harvard clearly put him in extreme anxiety and so he had to feed himself to forget this feeling, the worst thing is I think being fat is an unconscious response to "I do not want to go to school", as long as Jazz is fat and anxious, he knows he can't go to school and that's a good thing for him, this may be why Jazz don't care about losing weight and play bongo with his "belly bob" instead, he is ok being a lazy fatty if it means staying at home and not going to Harvard.

I absolutely agree after seeing that bongo thing. Jazz doesn’t want to lose the weight because (unconsciously) his fat is protective for him. It gives him an excuse to be childish and useless, since he’s physically incapacitated, and provides a reason for no one to be sexually attracted to him (he needs this because he cannot face the fact that he has been destroyed sexually). It gives the people around him something to focus on and criticize (and they are
always criticizing) other than his deeper problems and his lack of advancement in life. And it pisses off Jeanette, and destroys her precious “trans child” project, all without Jazz having to confront or defy her directly.
Of course, like most maladaptive coping mechanisms, it will do him more harm in the long run, not just in terms of physical damage to his health but also by tethering him to Jeanette. But no one’s going to get this kid any

Personally, I wouldn't really blame gays for the new age of weird sexual fetishes. Gays and shit have always been around. Societal attitudes towards same-sex relationships have varied over time and place. But history is dotted with society waxing and wanning on accepting gays. Some places in history had dudes fucking left and right and nobody gave a shit. Some places in history would have you killed for even giving a dude a sideways glance.
I think the modern wave of degeneracy is due to porn, the internet, and social media. While you can find gays dotted throughout history you can't find people chopping off their sons dick, putting them in a dress with a shit ton of chemicals, putting them on national tv, raking in millions, and becoming a social media topic!

can find occasionally instances of people cutting off their sons' dicks for their own gain throughout history, and that's the lens we should be looking at this through. Then as in now, it's not about some inborn "sexuality" or "gender identity" but about castrating kids for fun and profit.
One difference is that in the past people who had their sons castrated in the hope of working as eunuchs or becoming singers were usually in dire poverty; today's middle-class "trans parents" are usually getting by just fine, and do it for the fame and instagram likes.
