What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

This last one is recent and kind of stupid. Earlier in the year, Youtube recommended me a bunch of scambaiter channels. The setup is that someone pretends to be an unsuspecting victim of those shitty popup/email/telemarketing scams to waste the scammer's time doing humorous things. Most of the phone and online ones are run out of 2020's world super power. One channel, Pleasant Green, tends to go after the email and Craigslist scammers who are often based out of some African country. Unlike the other scambaiters, he would try to improve the scammer's actual life in an (often fruitless) effort to convince them to earn an honest living. This is despite the fact that the scammers are ruthless people who have no issue frauding the elderly/dimwitted out of their life savings and when pressed about it, use racism to justify it. One of Pleasant Green's videos covered a scammer soliciting marks by posing as a female porn star looking to shoot with random people. When he put up a photo of the porn star, she was wearing clothing branded with blacked shit. I don't know if he does the video editing himself or if the photo was shared by the scammer, but this raised alarm bells to me. It made me uneasy questioning if this fairly lanky white man wasn't just being altruistic in trying to help these Africans find actual work. It was also fucking weird, because the channel is borderline PG (with censored cursing) and here's a direct reference to a porn site. I'd rather watch Jim Browning's autism assaults on pajeets or Kitboga's elderly woman impressions.
I hate when YouTubers do that, these people scam people dying and pray on their kind hearted-ness blackmailing them and making them cry it's like if a police man caught a drug dealer and the cop saying "okay I caught you this time this is wrong ya know" yes sirs I'm very sorry thank you sir 😒 kit and Jim are comfy

I'll still go back and watch old episodes of Yugioh Abridged but I gave up on actively following it and watching newer episodes. The amount of time it takes for LK to push one out makes it kinda hard to stay interested in following it, and I haven't been a big fan of how he's abridged Season 4 of Yugioh where he's just constantly repeating the "OMG GUYS LOOK HOW DUMB SEASON 4 IS" joke.

Also doesn't help he's changed the description of every Yugioh Abridged episode to have a message saying that his old content contains joke that are racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic etc etc and that when Trump got elected he took a scene from an episode of Yugioh abridged where the characters are sad because Yugi lost a duel and made an alternative version of it where the implication is that they're reacting to Trump winning instead of Yugi losing and it has this really cringe speech from Joey about how you have to accept that "he won" and get ready for the next time.

SGBLikesToPlay

This one was kinda sad because these guys were one of my go-to channels in early high school. Over time I sorta gradually just stopped watching them less and less for no particular reason and then I came back a few years later and found that Matt who was the edgy dark humor guy had done a full 180 and was now an SJW type to the point where he made apologized for a time in their Resident Evil 2 let's play where he made Leon did a nazi salute and said that him doing that ruined the entire let's play. That was a big red flag to me and eventually after stuff like Matt complaining about Jared Fogle being a boss in South Park Fractured But Whole and Johnny writing off Persona 3 simply because he thinks that the protagonists shooting themselves with fake guns to summon their persona is distasteful and just overall not really enjoying their newer content I just decided it was time to walk away.

I still watch Johnny's main channel though, I think his reviews are still pretty good and doesn't have too much stuff creeping into it but I really don't have any interest in watching a let's play from him and the others. Also I'd dread to see what a modern day Brainscratchcomms let's play is like, I never liked them as much as I liked SGB and I could only imagine they would be even worse than modern SGB.

There was a manosphere channel called Better Bachelor that I somewhat enjoyed. When the fagmonger started asking for money to fund his own "free speech social media site" I noped out. Look, if you ask me for money in exchange for entertainment I'm cool but don't try to rip me off. Even if he's for real, he'll either go batshit insane or watch as his site fills up with pregnant shrek pics.

I dropped JerryRigEverything once he made one of his phone teardown videos all about glorifying Fentanyl Floyd and Burn Loot Murder and not shutting the fuck up about "DAE Le Drumpf?".

I was very shaky on AVGN once the slobs showed up, but the unfunny shit that was Life of Black Tiger made me unsuscribe.

I've ranted about JRE before but it astounds me how someone who has a record of puncturing Lithium Ion batteries and bending glass until it shatters, and having spent that kind of money to keep doing it, bloviates about the e-waste issue he contributes to. If you want proof of half assed quality control in phones look up all the articles about the strange defects flagship smartphones have, or how Samsung justifies selling toilet paper sheet screens for $2,500 just because it's "different", and how shitty engineering practices killed the Nexus line for good.

Any time a a creator begins cramming shilling segments into their videos. I don’t care if it’s at the beginning or the end or what the product or service is. If you’re advertising then the only thing you’re saying to me is that you can be bought. The very first Dankula video I saw where he had a sponsorship was fucking Raid: Shadow Legends.

You love your content that much? Get a day job and do it for free.

I agree. I miss the days when sponsors weren't a thing.

His wife is a nonbinary literal cow, so you shouldn't be surprised it's infected him. She had a glorious meltdown when Kavanaugh was appointed to the Supreme Court and is such a weirdo, she wrote out some slightly sexist dialog from the Gundam Seed remaster dub.

Idubbbz - when he stopped doing KickstarterCrap
GameGrumps - When JonTron left.
LTT - the focus onto Anthony. Like, he seems nice, but I saw some tweets about him whiny about some stupid shit. And that he can't take Critcism.

The only YouTube channel I’ve ever stopped watching over a single video was Hugo & Jake when Hugo came out as a tranny.
The writing was on the wall before that. I think once they started doing videos in the same room on camera. Jake started to let his politics invade the reviews. And there's video like The Fool where they're very sloppy with the edits. It was the weed.

I gave up on Todd in the Shadows once Trump won 2016. His shitty Twitter opinions started leaking into his content, specifically his "Worst Songs of 2016" vids where he showed clips of Trump winning and started acting like a doomer. And to think he used to be one of the better spergs from Channel Autism.
I stopped watching Todd and Lindsay after they were anti-gg. Todd especially. Using dead JewWario as a shield saying he'd be anti-gg too. Mind you, this was a few years before we found out how scummy he really was.

I used to watch PopArena's videos on Nickelodeon's history, but dropped when the wokeness got out of hand with his trashing of my memories of the channel.
I mentioned him earlier in this thread for his bullshit Snow White video.
Back on topic, I dropped Pop Arena like a rock after his bullshit video on Disney's Snow White, where he basically dismissed the movie's entire legacy based on a bullshit narrative. Oh, fuck the landmark animation techniques and the fact that, while not the real first animated movie in the world, it's still the first color animated movie AND the first made in America, and set the standard for all western animated movies to come, I don't like like it and it drove the Fleischer Studio to run themselves into the ground to compete, so IT DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE REMEMBERED!!!

I can't remember a video where my opinion of the creator cratered so incredibly fast.
Honestly, learning how up his own ass he got with his political sperging doesn't surprise me much, if at all.

For me it was his attack on "You Can Do That On Television" for a joke about a boy wearing a dress. It's why I stopped watching.

I stopped watching The Modern Vintage Gamer when he retweeted Brianna Wu about playing NBA Jam.

Also stopped watching Scott The Woz when his YELLING IN EVERY VIDEO started to get on my fucking nerves.
Back during the byuu fiasco he put a segment at the start of a new video 'mourning' a guy he'd likely barely heard of, even considering his field. Especially stupider seeing the lack of any evidence that he ever died, and the increasingly overwhelming amount that proves otherwise, even at the time.

I remember dropping Jim Sterling around the time of GamerGate... I was only just tangentially starting to understand the coming political shitstorm thinking it was only a Tumblr thing (oh, those sweet innocent times...) so when GG got going I was like "He talks about gaming journalism stuff, I wanna see how he'll stick up for the little guy!" and boy did I not understand him, haha. After seeing him basically become bulwark for the things he supposedly hated in the industry I realized he wasn't worth my time. Boy was I was right to drop him then... things only go so much worse.

Related, as this was going on I started watching several 'skeptics' who I all dropped within a year or two. I remember specifically I watched Sargon a lot at first, then less and less until he stopped doing 'This Week In Stupid' and that was his only content I watched anymore so I unsubscribed... then he became an Applebees waiter and the stepfather, so another dodged bullet. I also used to watch Kraut and Tea... and yeah, I didn't get out early that time I witness his degradation first hand and left during it. Thunderf00t when he became a huge hypocritical cuck... man, I wasted too much damn time with skeptics. I was also embarrassingly subbed to Sh0eOnHead and doubly embarrassing ArmoredSkeptic because of her... but I think those subs lasted a single video each, haha.

If you wanna go waaaaaaaaay back I was once subbed to The Irate Gamer my reasoning being "sure he's an AVGN rip-off... but that's just more AVGN to enjoy!" until I realized he was a really bad quality rip-off and in some cases a true content rip-off. On a similar note, and we'll see if anyone remembers this channel, I unsubbed from FarFromSubtle when they stopped doing Awesome Video Games... boy I haven't thought of that in a long time.

ralphthemoviemaker: It was the Joker review, clear the only reason he did that review was that he was sick of people praising it and he only felt that way since he finally watched the movies which inspired it. Joker does have issues and not everyone will like the same thing but the review is just so poorly done. Little bits I have seen of his stuff since then he looks and sounds burnt out on the whole youtube thing.

The Amazing Atheist: This is going back more than 10 years ago, I just got sick of his e begging videos. While never really watched him Philip Defranco used to do the same shit with a fake story about living out of his car

Thunderf00t: Brexit and Trump shit, he wants to make videos on those fine but he kept putting that shit into videos that had nothing to do with that subject matter and it came across as overly smug.

Spoony: Just after the FF13 review, he end up doing other projects outside of gaming and movies just to me they all came across as low-effort and overlong.

Captain Midnight: not a channel I watched everything from but would check it out every now and again. A few months ago made a video on the Men in Black series and kept asking questions/ speculation about stuff he should have the answer for if he did even a minute of googling.

Ask a Mortician: The subject matter of her video are very interesting but her comedy is not. The painful comedy just got too much for me a few months ago and I won't watch any of her videos despite how interesting they can be.

Midnight's Edge: I forget which video it was but was one of the Star Wars ones, it just became very clear they were just talking out their ass and the main voice-over guy had the most boring voice I've heard on Youtube.

Yeah, Midnight’s Edge lost all credibility once they stared citing Doomcock’s rumours for their Star Wars content.

I used to watch This Is Monsters because the early episodes were pretty straightforward. Here's the killer, here's the backstory, here's what they did. No bullshit, no dumb spooooky music like so many true crime channels use, just the facts. There was a snide remark every now and then, but it was kept at a minimum. But after a while, the narrator's sperginess started seeping into his videos; he would start getting genuinely angry at some of the killers, and it was killing my interest. I don't care what you think about the murderer, just tell me what happened.

The breaking point came when he covered this autist who killed his adopted parents. If you watch the interrogation tapes, you can tell something is clearly wrong with the guy, like his autism is probably a lot more severe than was diagnosed. Not saying the autism excuses him (hell no, the way he murdered his parents was brutal), but the narrator got really angry over it. He spent the majority of the video sperging the fuck out over the guy's interrogation. It's especially bizarre since the narrator keeps promoting mental health issues in his videos, but when he shows a guy with very obvious mental problems he seems completely oblivious to them. The interrogation itself is so fascinating because the way it plays out is markedly different from that of a regular killer, but the Monsters narrator turned it into a bad angry reviewer video from the mid 2000s, just with an autistic killer instead of a bad video game.

He also said other stupid shit like saying Jerrod Murray (the guy in that JCS video on insanity) beat the system when he got an insanity plea. The guy's just an utter fucking moron.

Rarely does a single video cause me to unsubscribe cold turkey. It's more like a series of vapid, boring videos that tells me a certain youtuber has lost their fastball.
Oh it's another luger video. Oh it's another mauser 98k video.

Ok so I've not actually stopped watching Ian yet, but all the "it's the same gun with yet another set or niche markings" vids do get old.
This bums me out. Forgotten Weapons has been a joy to listen to during my morning routine, and Ian just seems to be grabbing at straws these days.
