Sure, I just wanted to make a point that I still fundamentally disagree that saying cracka or other mean words should cost you your twitch partnership, because these rules ultimately stem from the same "say anything offensive and you're gone" mindset as cancel culture. The difference between twitter and youtube/twitch is twitter isn't cutting vaush and hassan monthly checks. Hassan and Vaush signed a contract with twitch to become twitch partners where alongside of the ToS everyone is held to they also have additional responsibilities they must uphold as a partner. This is not a case of cancel culture its a case of dumbasses breaching their contract they signed and agreed to.
Even if this weren't a Washington Post reporter who should be following journalistic ethics, "seemingly" is still an improper word. It doesn't matter if you're trying to mock Twitch. Yes, Twitch clearly considers it a slur. Otherwise they wouldn't have done anything. Democracy dies in darkness, but articulacy dies in Nathan Grayson's twitter account.Nathan Grayson, the corrupt former-Kotaku, current-WaPo game journalist from ground zero of Gamergate, downplays Hasan's open racism. Perhaps a full WaPo article is incoming?

The other guy is current Kotaku staff.
Judging by all the things in his bio, I dunno what "your people" means, but "his people" are definitely retardsEven if this weren't a Washington Post reporter who should be following journalistic ethics, "seemingly" is still an improper word. Moron journo aside, this is a fun thread. It's a flame war with no brain cells to lose.

What is our good friend Jeff Adler a slave to? Who is "your people?" Normally I'd jump to conclusions, but when you're combining a Star of David, they/them pronouns, the rose emoji, 'tism, and sexual assault, it's really tough to pin it down.![]()
Calls other people fragile manchildren yet is apart of a group of people that all have glass skin and would have a meltdown over nigger or tranny.![]()

I used to think that way but I've done a 180 and now believe you need to hit people like Hassan and Vaush in the face with their own medicine until they and the rest of them realise what a shitty idea it was to play cheerleader for retarded ToS that results in politically expedient enemies being disappeared at the drop of a dime. It won't stop until the blade they sharpened cuts their side of culture war just as badly. They'll never stop trying to cancel and ban and get you fired, why should I try to take the high road into oblivion? Before Null got banned from Twitter again he made a point that you shouldn't cheer for cancel culture just because it hits the people you hate for once - and I get it, but why does it feel so good when it happens? Hasan and Vaush fell victim to the machine they helped create. Fuck them. Maybe next time listen when we tell you that the system actually doesn't care if you think you're one of the "good guys".

Hasan is completely stunlocked on this and his take is so bad it's become based. Apparently you can use slurs against people and say it's blowing off steam as long as you don't have power over them. I guess us powerless folks can say Nigger without fear now, rejoice!

The back pedal is real
It also didn't help that he shit talked the company that cuts his check after repeatedly saying the thing they warned him not to continue doing lol. Again this clearly goes beyond "Cancel culture".Sure, I just wanted to make a point that I still fundamentally disagree that saying cracka or other mean words should cost you your twitch partnership, because these rules ultimately stem from the same "say anything offensive and we you're gone" mindset as cancel culture.
But no one's cheering for cancel culture and they in no way got cancelled. A 7 day ban for breaking the set rules has never been being cancelled. Before Null got banned from Twitter again he made a point that you shouldn't cheer for cancel culture just because it hits the people you hate for once - and I get it, but why does it feel so good when it happens? I'm not really cheering it, personally I think anyone should be allowed to say nigger or cracker or whatever. I however can't help but find it funny when someone gets caught in their own trap, considering Hasan supports banning people for saying nigger but is now seething he can't say cracker without getting banned. Before Null got banned from Twitter again he made a point that you shouldn't cheer for cancel culture just because it hits the people you hate for once - and I get it, but why does it feel so good when it happens? Um she's clearly a warrior and a survivor. Nobody in this generation knows what it's like to squat in a cramped foxhole on the GamerGate peninsula for days, dilating as fascist bullets and bombs fly overhead. Do you even know how hard it is to find estrogen meds on a war-torn battlefield? She had to take what she could off the dead bodies of her comrades in arms! Why would you deny this veteran her earned valor?yeah im 99% sure its a tranny but fucking lmao @ AS A LADY WHO LIVED THROUGH GAYMERGATE
Ah, I actually read somewhere it was permanent but that was bullshit then. But no one's cheering for cancel culture and they in no way got cancelled. A 7 day ban for breaking the set rules has never been being cancelled.
Meh...This is just a slap on the wrist. He's notHe wanted this standard, and we warned him, and he wouldn't listen, and now he's being ass fucked by the system he helped create.
Hasan made the same point, but this is turning around on it. It's because Hasan would endlessly tell you about how every other racial slur is terrible that people care.![]()

It seems Linus went off on a bender.I know this isn't a Linus thread but why the fuck does he feel the need to get involved with this nonsense at all? He's completely out of the loop both on the subject at hand and from the drama. I knew he built that PC for Hasan a few months ago, did they become friends or something? I just don't get what he's trying to argue here: cracker is said by (hilarious) comedians so nobody should be offended by it? Nigger, Tranny, Faggot, Cunt, etc, are all of those okay as well? I've heard plenty of comedians use those. What's the liberal angle he's trying to preach here? Something something normalization of bigoted language promotes casual racism, right?
The back pedal is to be expected - "I hate my mentions right now" AKA "I may be wrong about this so let me nuke the history so nobody can see how retarded I am". To be clear, I don't give a fuck about the word cracker (or any slur really, sticks and stones right?) but the hypocrisy from these people is mind-bending.
Linus should just stick to sex tipsIt seems Linus went off on a bender.

I know this screenshot is real cause you still find PoopEater's tweets (lol). Apparently he had at least a dozen or so other tweets he deleted about it. I never thought much of the guy, just thought his style of videos to be highly out of the scope of my tastes. When I saw a video of him building a PC for Hasan floating around, I just assumed the worst. And it looks like I was right.
I love when they get accidentally based. People insult people for things they can't control all the time. Why is skin colour protected? It seems Linus went off on a bender.
