One thing I WILL say is that Sander looks 10000% reluctant to be around the troon. She dwarfs him in size and their preliminary stages are awkward. The show is clearly staging the encounter to show off Sander's "allyship" but he looks two steps away from having an episode.

That clip of him doing the sack racing - they could have given him a longer shirt. It looks like they purposefully tried to humiliate him by giving him a shirt that would show the bouncing gut in all it's glory.

I really do think that Jeannette is done with Jazz. I mean, to focus all this public attention on your fat troon son, including the family in all this, I really do think she is punishing him for getting fat. Never mind the fact her, Greg, and the rest of the fucking family could have stepped in at any time before all this and gotten him help for his binge eating. I think she imagined Jazz to be the next Kim Petras, and is humiliated, embarrassed, and angry that Jazz didn't turn out like she wanted him to, nor did the SRS go perfectly like she thought, so she quickly tries to silence any criticism. All because she doesn't want her delusion of Jazz successfully becoming a woman shattered. Nor does she want to admit she fucked up, and fucked up bad.

I find Sander insufferable, but it’s still horrifying to watch him being pushed by the cult he grew up in into playing out their “men who date transwomen aren’t gay!” arc. I know it’s not coercion by any legal definition, but it is still gross. Sexual boundaries mean nothing to these people.

That's not what being a perfectionist is. That's being a spoiled brat. Jazz not only is not a perfectionist, but he's never had the chance to actually be one because everything he's expected to do, someone else does it for him. Like, are we expected to believe that he organized those drag runways or whatever himself? Pfff, that's TLC doing all the work.

When parents feel guilty for failing at being parents, this is not what they would be like. It's a terrible realisation that something you did hurt your kid, that really, really hurts and could destroy you. We see none of that here. Sure, Jeannette could be on denial, but I think she doesn't feel bad because Jazz's life is ruined but because she was wrong about him and she's the one being on the spotlight and blamed her for what Jazz has become. It's her ego what's been hurt, not her job as a mother. That's why she seems so indifferent, she's unable to feel Jazz's pain, only her own. It's not that she doesn't care about Jazz, but she cares more about herself.

I'd have to agree with you. Never underestimate a narcissist parent's disappointment when a child doesn't do what they want. She invested too much for Jazz to become "happy" and now Jazz has failed her being the mess he is. He's the one making her look bad.

What if Sander got married Hope. First Sander and Hope start dating on the show and Sander explains that he is still straight dating a transgender woman but then there is a episode where Jeanette is talking to a female friend and then Sander bursts into the room and he explains to her that he has just bought a engagement ring and he is going to ask Hope to get married and they dedicate a whole episode to a really big wedding and stuff, but then during the middle of the wedding suddenly A biological woman bursts into the wedding and screams stop the wedding I am pregnant with Sanders child! And Sander says it happened right before he started dating Hope and Sander says he will still help her to raise the baby but the episode ends on a cliff hanger if Sander will cancel the wedding or if next episode the wedding does happen and Sander gets married. And in later episodes the paternity of the baby goes into question because of other men and it turns out a Transgender woman with a penis is a possible father of the baby instead of sander! Then they later learn she was not pregnant at all. Endless possibilities indeed !!!!!

Fuck, that was actually a sad episode with the context we know about. It just feels like Jazz is still being used as their cash cow, but this time as a freak show exhibit rather than their trans Girl-Queen.
Would it have hurt Jeanette to get Jazz some clothes that fit properly rather than the current rags that put his gut and flab on display?
