Friend who has already had two rounds of 30+ day periods after her first two Covid shots got a booster and is stuck on her period again. I'm running out of facepalms, but she's married to the nurse and he's convinced her that without the vaccine he's going to bring home Covid and kill her.

Also, I totally agree with those upthread who said that pitting vaxed against unvaxed is not gonna help this situation. There's too much of that elsewhere and the polarization is leading our society to some dark places.

However, if they (the masses) are directed... manipulated... propagandized by, say, a State, then the last century, and longer, tells us something else entirely.

The actual argument I'm making is thus supported by history.

Never said I liked the conclusions I was reaching. Going outside to touch some grass, now - catch up with thread later. Much prefer to smoke some, instead, and forget this nightmare.

Edit: the most I'm saying about the pol screencap is that it's one possible mechanism, and probably something of a (very risky and unpredictable) last resort. I'm not saying it's gonna happen Happen, and certainly not when, just that we shouldn't be surprised if it does. Shocked - yes! - but not surprised.

Not even saying I'm not crazy, but again, I would still say to politicians/functionaries, "Do you want to get dragged into the streets and minecrafted? Then just keep doing what you're doing..."

Do they look like they're stopping any time soon?

Edit 2: what I am saying is, please DO NOT go out looking to achieve a personal high score (no matter how deserving the ... pixels). Because that is exactly what they want. Don't give it to them. Again, I've been seething (and dilating) quite a lot, lately, and that's a trap to avoid. Har-bloody-ha.

Good news, forced encouraged boost-jabbing in Germany is going to slow down in the new year because as a parting gift our previous government didn't order enough vaccines. Did they actually think things would end this winter? I thought they had already pre-ordered like 200 million dosages or something.

Oh. I figured you get exempt from it since if you pay for private you're contributing if only by paying for your own health rather than totally depending on Medicare paying for everything.

I shouldn't say that whatever tax I pay is never dipped into the government for health reasons... that's true... You still get normies who don't get private and figured that's who's shilling out for Medicare, at least for the most part.

The Omicron COVID-19 variant was first detected in South Africa last month and is now spreading worldwide. European officials are warning that Omicron transmissibility is driving new infections higher.

European countries were among the first to detect cases of the variant outside of Africa. Officials have been racing to place new restrictions on freedoms to mitigate the spread.

Most European countries have travel restrictions in place. Austria went into a full lockdown but has since ended it. Other countries went into partial lockdowns. Norway took public health restrictions just a little too far this week and banned the sale of alcohol in bars and restaurants to control the spread, according to Reuters.



Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store also imposed stricter public health measures. Norwegians are encouraged to work at home, and larger gatherings could soon be nixed.

"Infection rates in Norway are increasing sharply, and we have now gained new knowledge about the Omicron variant and how fast it can spread. We are in a more serious situation," Store said. He said "stricter measures" were necessary "to maintain control of the pandemic."
"That's why we need to act fast and we need to act again," he said, adding, "for many, this will feel like a lockdown, if not of society then of their lives and their livelihoods."
Norwegian Institute of Public Health said a lack of action to stop the spread "could lead to large negative consequences for society, not just for health services and municipalities."

Infections and hospitalizations have been rising sharply for well over a month. Last week, Norway recorded 21,457 COVID-19 infections and 33 deaths.



Omicron is expected to be the dominant variant near term. This is also expected to be the case in the UK before Christmas.

Other European countries are bracing for a new wave of infections. Norway's move to ban the sale of alcohol in bars and restaurants, even for the vaccinated, comes as the state's top epidemiologist Frode Forland said the new variant is highly transmissible. However, he explained the variant is "milder" could prove to be the "best scenario" because it would boost "natural immunity" and bring the end of the pandemic closer.

So if that's the case, why not keep bars and restaurants open?

So I have two personal stories about the ABSOLUTE STATE of Australia right now;

1. Young man in his 20's with a birth defect in his heart of some kind. Had vaccinations mandated by his workplace. Talked to his long time doctor about it. Doctor tells him that he doesn't think the man should get the vaccine because it's too risky, but ALSO tells him that he actually CANNOT EXEMPT HIM despite his professional opinion. The only grounds for a permanent medical exemption are an anaphylactic attack to a jab you've already received. NOTHING ELSE! Fucked up heart? Lungs? Blood? How about the fucking immune system needed for the vaccine to achieve anything in the first place? No? Nothing else! So congratulations guys, you just made a dude with a heart defect jobless.

2. A woman was in Queensland who wanted to travel back to her home state of Western Australia, but the state governor of WA shut the border with QLD as she was about to fly home. Further; on the 5th of February nobody can gain entry at all to WA unless they're vaccinated. She flew to Tasmania to try to get back the long way but she has to stay there for two weeks under no quarantine before she can fly back, at which point she will be quarantined for two weeks. So if Tasmania accumulates Omicron cases or some other gay pretense occurs for a lockdown she'll be stuck there long enough for the 5th of February deadline and then she will be there permanently until she gets vaccinated.

I'm so fucking livid about this bullshit. I want to scream and shout about how this vaccine is demonstrably fucking useless as our medical outcomes get flexed on by SOUTH AFRICA of all places and how even if we did absolutely nothing, no real medical outcome of consequence would occur from this limp dick, shit-tier infection that only kills geriatrics and deathfats. A massive inhuman machine is churning, turning, and grinding people to excrement in response to a complete nothingburger.
