While 96 percent of insurance companies covered bilateral mastectomy/masculinizing surgery in transgender men, only 68 percent covered breast augmentation/feminizing surgery in transgender women. "The insurers that did not provide coverage for transfeminine breast surgery listed the procedure as 'not medically necessary,'" the researchers write.”

I can only imagine it’s gone up since 2019

Call me optimistic but I doubt it. Bob jobs are still not necessary, and getting a mastectomy, in the eyes of your insurance, a win/win, cause you reduce your chance of cancer and the insurance doesn't have to pay as much for future cancer issues.

There's a lot of very insidious pro-troon propaganda circulating on social media and in the workplace these days. Transgirls are constantly painted as the most oppressed women in the world. Well-meaning but naive people donate to them out of pity and because they don't want to be branded a transphobe. The troon medical-industrial-charity-grift complex runs on deception, manipulation, and guilt. They are very good at inducing guilt in marks they accuse of being cis or transphobic or terfs. You're not a bad person, right? Better toss a coin to your trooner to prove it!
I literally know a man, in his late 30s, gainfully employed, married with a child, who had a mini crisis about if he might be a dang dirty transphobe cause he felt like he could never date a transwoman. This is a married, straight, Hispanic man, who grew up in New York in the 90s, and he fell for this stuff.
People don't know about the fetish aspect, they don't know about the reality of amholes, they don't know about the coping, the seething, the dilating. They're only told "support trans - it's what Good People do!" They see doctors and people who look like doctors say that it's ok.
Think of everyone who got their bloomers in a twist over J. K. Rowling, now think about if any of them actually read her essay or could tell you what horrible thing she did.
