The Elder Scrolls

What are your favorite or goto playstyles? Spellsword seemed to take off after Skyrim made spells take up hands, but I could never get into that. Pure mage and pure fighter are better for me, though I did heal as a typical one-hander. For Oblivion, I was magic monk punching bitches with my fists in close combat and frying them when they fled. Morrowind same as Skyrim.

Illusion, Mysticism, Conjuration are the funnest schools of magic to play around with. The rest are necessary but pretty barebone as far as potential. One-hander with shield beat out two-handed and dual-wielding because of practicality for me.

I hope that they retcon the Forsworn to be some kinda of anarcho-primitivists that aren't representative of Reachmen as a whole.
They literally are a bunch of crazy anarcho-primitives. After they got their asses kicked by Ulfric they went back to the "Old Ways" because "Fuck the Empire and civilization". You've got shit like Hagravens and the Briarhearts, don't forget.

Restoration/Alchemy is king in Morrowind, fortify attribute effects can break the game like no other. I always play spellsword if I do not specifically lay out a build, as I always have Hearth Heal and Intervention as they are simply to useful not to use.

Whats the opinion on Modding Skyrim Combat to make it less of a Stat Checker and more Reaction Based?
Do you go for Vanilla+ or all out with Dodge Mods like Tk Dodge and Ultimate Combat for Example.

My opinion is it's fucking gay and way too much of a hassle in my experience when you can just play Dark Souls. (although I tried TK Dodge once and that was okay on it's own)

I mean, people can do what they want but yeah.

Bashing and power attacks are enough for me. You can just move out of the way to dodge, but that requires space, which you lack in a lot of dungeons.

Wasn't this patch supposed to fix some super annoying/sometimes gamebreaking save glitch in PS4 version that has plagued it since launch, too?

Skyrim was patched recently on consoles and its causing the game to either crash or lag like crazy on the title screen. to the point where its practically impossible to start. As usual Bethesda is completely silent on the matter.

Times like this I wonder if I should pack away the controllers.
I have a PS5 game (no mods, but all CC, Anniversary addition {do not buy} ) with 38 hours in it, it crashes every 6-8 hours and several things have bugged out for me, exempli gratia Blood on the Ice, I will now always have the Strange Amulet because I forgot to sell it to Calico before outing him. Skyrim is for porn addict's and nigga's who can not manage resources it seems

I really like this change. Makes roleplaying more interesting if you're going with a one-class kind of character. Combat also feels slightly more urgent.

Have you been to Winterhold yet?
it's really fun, i swear
On the other hand, I played Frostfall and despite being decked out in furs and cloaks I almost died going to Bleak Falls Barrow and had to stop twice to make fires to warm up.

Ashfall in morrowind is preferable to me because you have very cold regions (Sheogorad, and Solstheim) and very warm regions (Red mountain, and Molar Mar). Leading me to always carry a variety of equipment for a given region.
