Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The Democrats' biggest strategic mistake was not letting Trump have a second term.
If they didn't go full woketard and let their chimps and pavement apes fuck everything up, we would have never known about the communists behind the scenes along with this CRT shit. And the number of snakes and rats with the GOP after the rigged 2020 election was greater than expected.

The January 6th commission is their attempt to jail Trump and all his close supporters. Though I wonder if Trump was jailed. Then what would happen. I think they are playing with fire here.
Probably bad shit. Predicting human behavior is always impossible but I would expect Fight Club tier shit to break out. Individual cells of extremely angry individuals not even necessarily Trumpfags just people who want a purpose or who hate the current paradigm to start bombing shit, torching shit, shooting up shit on a regular basis. Unlike Fight Club the solution won't be for the MC to shoot himself, it will be for the Pelosi's, Bush's, and Romney's to do so.

Seriously though, the 2024 election is -fucked- for the Democrats. Consider the 2020 primary. Joe Biden got 51.8% of the vote. followed by Sanders at 26.3, Warren at 7.7, Bloomberg at 6.8 and not a single other person cracking 3%.

Those numbers aren't even fucking close. That was a blowout primary for a -contested- primary. Anyone who got below 10% isn't even viable in Blue states. Compare to the 2016 Republican primary where Trump got 44.9, Cruz at 25.1, Rubio at 11.3, and Kasich at 13.8.

That is a normal spread. One with a plurality, a good runner up, and a few hovering over 10 for who stayed in. That indicates viability in a different race.
Yeah, that Republican primary was extremely competitive. A lot of people were diehard for their candidate but also had 1-2 others that they were comfortable supporting if it came to it. It was a genuine test of whose ideas and attitude were going to carry the day. Hillary's primary was a joke, and this last Dem one was everyone saying the same things at different volumes. But I feel like Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Kasich were all genuinely different paths the party could have taken with wildly different personalities and governing styles.

On sort of pragmatic, ideological grounds, I don't want Trump to run in 2024. I'd really like to see this become larger than him. But then I realize there is no single outcome which would make liberals in this country rage so hard that they cry and puke and shit at the same time, so of course this is what I want.
That's about where I'm at. Maybe Trump winning again would actually grow the movement, as it would prove twice that the media holds no power and voters want Trump's policies bad enough that they'll risk being yelled at for another four years. That they missed him. For a politician who's had as much thrown at him as he has to win again would sort of show the path for backbenchers ready for 2028.

Speaking of Governor Nepotism (vague, I know), I was reminded of the second worst list I've ever seen. The one I posted today beat it:

Context: ‘They’re all begging me’: Trump’s 2024 veep tryouts get underway

Meadows, by the way, is the best person on that list. A more populist Chief of Staff than Priebus, and one who tried to be a good voice to Blumpf's ear.

Pompeo's glows, and as SoS, was another Fed who wanted Assange dead.

Scott's a GOPe, RINO token nigger. I've already explained why he's a bad pick, personality-wise with Trump. As a senator though, he's weak, uninspiring, and slow on the ball, and whether that's deliberate or not is the real question.

Blackburn is the same thing, but just a White woman.

Reynolds is a who. Iowa's MAGA Country, but yeah, no.

And Kristi Norm? Put your cock back in your pants, and focus.

For me, personally, dream team is Trump/McEntee.
Out of these, I'd go with Blackburn. She came in on a Trump wave and knows where her bread is buttered, even if she gets distracted with Instagram hurting teenage self-esteem or whatever.

Oh, for Hell's sake, how did they all collect there? Do they post job ads on their CP trading message boards? Does their interview process require two character references and a victim impact statement?

Most people spend their entire lives not raping kids. 24/7 for 80ish years, constantly not raping kids. And it doesn't even take effort; it's like the heart beating, it just happens. Meanwhile it seems no one in that pit could make it a bloody week.

And none of CNN's competition, all of whom have supposed investigative journalists on staff, ever noticed? Not one employee who moved to another outlet ever said "Hey, want to give our competition a black eye? When I was working there there was a lot of creepy interest in kids."

My solution:

Step 1: Burn CNN down.

Step 2: Start piling the kindling around the rest of them. The nonce-rats might start bailing before they even smell smoke, and they'll be easy pickings.

Step 3: Burn the rest down anyway.
lol at Chris Wallace leaving Fox for them just as all this is happening.

And then she made him clean it! She allegedly throws shit when she gets mad, most famously a stapler. Stories about her staff crying all the time because they were chewed out or almost got Klobbed by office supplies. My favorite was an anecdote I read from another senator's page/aide saying they struggled to arrange some meeting with her because of a mistake on the part of her page. Instead of the Klob, her terrified page was sent to meet him and said while trying not cry something like, "Senator Klobuchar told me to tell you she won't be able to make it today because I'm stupid!" Which is a cruel thing to make her do but also really funny to me. She's a horrible person but she'd make a great character on Veep.

I actually think the US could really benefit from a lean, mean drill instructor type as president but the Klobberer is too petty, just a bully.
Some Veep jokes are based on Klobuchar. She allegedly has made staffers shave her legs, which they put in an episode after hearing about it.

No, but “The Great American Divorce” is. It’s just a question of whether we go full balkanized or some sort of “one nation, two systems” model.
In my opinion, we need a Constitutional convention. There's way too much power and money concentrated in DC. The country ought to be sectioned off into maybe 4 federal districts that serve the same purpose DC does now, and then DC serves as the national capital, but only deals with national security and those things that require coordination between the districts.

Northwest district, capital in Portland.
Southwest district, capital in San Francisco.
Southeast district, capital in Atlanta.
Northeast district, capital in NYC.

Be careful what you wish for.

Problem with Balkanization though:

1. The left won't fucking play fair. They'll orchestrate full on global economic sanctions on red state unions on par with what happened in Iraq and in North Korea these days to reduce red state territory to 3rd world poverty levels so they can be forced to join the blue state union as vasals

2. The left won't abide by borders once they realize they need material, water, and other resources in Red States. Which means constant war as they try and conquer Red State territory for their own usage.

3. The left will bring back walls ala Berlin Wall to prevent people from fleeing blue state dystopias while also building walls to further the first point to trap red states to cause starvation and deprivation to force them to surrender to the blue states.
All this is good and all but.

Whose guns will they be using to enforce this on Tyrone and Bubba?

Honestly, if we Balkanized, I wouldn't even be upset at this point.

Lets have a left wing socialist hugbox for the idiots that want that, Black and White ethnostates for the idiots that want those, and then the rest can just be Regular America.
Look, apparently Fallout was the prophetic fever of its creator and since thermonuclear war with godless Communist Chinks is on the table I'd be satisfied with 13 Commonwealths. Just give me my Mr Handy and be done with it.

@ Trianon Stupid reply bug. Generally, a contested primary will have that result, regardless of party. You can see it going way back into history for both parties. Anyone who gets less than 10% is straight-up non-viable. And in an open primary where everyone who has any form of presidential ambition would have signed up... to only have two candidates even break 10% is -truly awful-.

Who the fuck did CNN piss off? Someone or some group is quite obviously trying to end them.

VP pick is pretty irrelevant. You're voting for Trump, not "Trump and the other guy". He picked Pence because he was boring and religious, which worked. There's plenty of Trump loyalists milling about who he could pick now.
Every faction of the cabal. They are doing political analysis for the Admin and have been abandoned by their former masters. They attempted to remain neutral, but they are the largest roadblock to any of the cabal's personal media factions from being able to gain supremacy.

Whats the chance of them trying to push someone from the squad? I kind of want to see AOC run just for the entertainment.
Zero percent. While I think AOC will finally be of age to run in 2024, and she might even try, nobody in any of the cabal factions will get the support of the other two factions.

We already have that sort of because on top of the US constitution, states have their own constitutions. Granted, there has to be checks and balances between state and federal government, but it’s how you end up with states that operate very differently from each other sometimes.
Going back to strong individual states and a weak federal government that sticks to national defense and foreign trade would be the ideal. The states would have far more freedom to govern themselves as they see fit and D.C.'s political swamp finally gets the draining it desperately needs.

the fix for this is called "nukes"
two big tsar bombas and suddenly they'll fuck off
You don't even need nukes for this, let alone something as wasteful as the Tsar Bomba. Leveling LA, SF or Portland with a fuckton of conventional bombs and cruise missiles will send the right message. Just treat em like WWII-era Dresden or Tokyo.

4. The left will absolutely justify committing atrocities against the red-staters. I saw an article a while back about what would happen after a national divorce, and I regret not saving it, because it was equal parts hilarious and horrifying. The guy was justifying full-on civil war by saying, "well OBVIOUSLY people in red states are going to mistreat women and minorities, ruin the environment, and allow violence to run unchecked, so it would be our DUTY to invade and subjugate them all!" If Balkanization actually does happen, expect this kind of rhetoric x1000.

This is part of why any delusions of balkanization are just that, delusions. Balkanization requires both parties to agree to have nothing to do with each other, the problem is that the modern left -absolutely cannot agree to that-. It's dead on day one. And nobody proposing it as a likely outcome has any response to that beyond trying to handwave it.

A democratic assassination of Trump during election season would trigger the kind of backlash that would, in all likelihood, usher in a new age of horrific civic violence.
They’d stage it as a disgruntled right-winger as having killed him, a patsy like Lee Harvey Oswald. Remember that the day of JFK’s assassination average citizens back east all assumed some evil right-winger had killed JFK, and were getting angry about it, until reports came out that Oswald acted alone AND was a Leftist. That kinda took the wind out of everyone’s sails at that point.

Long story short, if the Establishment assassinated Trump, they’d lay the blame on a disgruntled supporter, and then ram through an “investigation” “proving” their claims.

I don't think you are wrong on the idea they'd try this, if for some reason they were stupid enough to, but your implication it would work and do anything but enrage the right further is... wrong.

It's not 1963 anymore, although the people in charge are so senile they think it is. Even if a wignat managed to get close enough to Trump to do it no one would believe it.

"In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was tacitly denied by their philosophy." - George Orwell, 1984
And then, without a hint of irony whatsoever, they are going to retell 1984 from a "feminist perspective."
