Not completely sure what “suicidal ideation” means, but knowing chibi it’s probably just him spacing-out imagining crowds of people screaming “DON’T DO IT!” as he spirals off the top of a building like an anime character to his demise. Then he probably pictures the funeral where everybody gives up their praise about how unfair he was treated and how good a person he actually was.

Most people have probably imagined these things out of boredom or in high school, but Adam probably thinks about it at least ten times a day in his 30s. Probably with cinematic angles and sad video game music.

I hope this is the one thing Chibi actually goes through with. His mom will be heartbroken, I'm sure, but in time the weight that's lifted off her shoulders not having to care about this worthless little dweeb will do her the world of good. Whatever you think about how she chose to raise Adam, I can't imagine it's been anything but constant stress for her the last 30-odd years.

As for the church stuff, I actually think it would do him good if he actually wanted to change and improve his life, which he doesn't. Even if you don't go in for the religious part, church would give him access to a community that would be orders of magnitude healthier than the Terminally Online cesspit he's currently using to validate his downward spiral.

I disagree. people like chibi getting involved with a church is how kids get molested. if he "believes" it will be some bullshit faith that tells him he's right about everything, just like his woke politics are now.

Back in University I would go to my girlfriend's church on Saturday because she led the choir and because it was important to her that I go there. So I did. I didn't believe in God, I didn't follow their religion but it mattered to her so I would do so.

Then we'd head out to brunch / lunch and spend some time together. It's called "being an adult". You sometimes do things for the people you love because it's important to them.
