He's a professional fence sitter, he has no god damn opinion and will just say whatever fits at the time. Like that time he completely shat on the THPS remake, spent the whole two minutes with the music turned off, on the same ramp, doing the same tricks over and over and wondering why the sick score was so high, literally unbeatable. Well, THPS showed up in his GOTY awards that year because it was the "gamer" thing to do because after like fucking 15 years we finally got a THPS game that wasn't dogshit so it was the cool thing to like.

Where is Phil getting this idea that he "outlasted" DD? The guy isn't being cancelled and is currently taking time away from stream to do something else, a privilege Phil claims to not have. I joke about Phil's haste to dance on graves that he's making a habit of starting before there's any indication of there being a death to make a grave for.

I know almost nothing about fighting games. Is Phil's claim of online having lag supported in any way? Is there any difference between playing online vs in person? Not asking is he experiences it, asking if it's possible.

If that's the case it means these people never watched Project 7 so they should go do that. It's terrible but it is easily the most effort Phil ever put into Youtube. 2021 Phil would never make it. Hell, 2015 Phil couldn't cut together a teaser trailer for its revival to keep his Patreon scam going even though he wouldn't have needed any new footage.
Maybe there is a thread idea here. When current day Phil replays a game or a sequel to a game instead of trying to stomach what he's become people could go back and watch the original playthrough or an older playthrough of a series and discuss that instead. Like right now go watch some old Halo tihydp or something like that. It's still going to be Phil but it's got to be better then now.

yes, it is possible for an online game to have lag.
to be fair that screen shot is not from Project 7, it is from the lead up to Project 7. Someone could've watched the entire Project 7 series and not seen that.

It's is possible for someone to lag their game out, but not to exploit it in the frame-perfect way Phil claims. If it was lagging, you would notice it immediately
