Inactive BME.com/Body Modification Community - TW: crazy people, gore, NSFW

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
BME released a book about extreme body mods, which is available as a free PDF. It is very NSFW and contains hundreds of giant pictures of mutilated dicks, so click at your own risk. You can scroll to any random page and find something horrifying.

Plus, a collection of BME videos put together by NicoNicoDouga's BME community can be found here and here.

I remember a few years ago seeing a documentary about body modding and it's community where they followed two people that were into it. One was a younger girl around 19/20 who loved it all, the other was an older man in his mid twenties that had been at it since he was in his teens. The guy talked about how much he regrets doing all that to his body because it's made him an outcast and he can't get an actual job because of his appearance, while the girl had the stereotypical "It's my body, anyone who jusges me is a hater" outlook. It was kinda eerie because the guy was saying how he used to have the same outlook as the girl did (the two never actually meet jsyk) and claimed that the point where everything started turning was when he got his horns drilled to his head, and then it cuts to the girl saying that she's been saving up to get her own horns. The final part of the documentary has the huy going into surgery to get his horns removed in an attempt to look more normal, while it shows the girl getting her own set of horns put it. It's a really interesting documentary and I wish I could remember the name so everyone could watch it themself.

I'd actually really like to see that, if you figure out what it's called.

So basically he's "Ribbed for Her Pleasure"?

Seriously though, these people need to grow a thicker skin. (No pun intended). If you're gonna go all out like that, be prepared for people making fun of you. Most of them sound like whiny crybabies.

No shit. Seriously.

I know these jackasses consider themselves to be on some higher plane of existence because they have some kind of existential contempt for their meat bodies and do weird things to their physical corpus for whatever reasons they have.

They obviously get off on outraged responses from the general public about the shit they do. They like that shit.

They get almost absurdly mad, though, when you just find the shit they do ridiculous and laugh at it.

That sounds like a really interesting documentary... Too bad that girl wasn't going to do something less destructive/extreme to her body that she could cover up. Lots of people get stupid tattoos when they're young, but at least they (sometimes) have the ability to hide them. It's kind of hard to hide floppy, gauged ear holes, multiple piercings and horns sprouting out of your face.

From what I rember the worst thing she had before the horns was a split tongue, and a few of those little bubbles they put under your skin to make a shape. The horns were her first serious step into body modding. I'm trying my best to rember what the fuck it was called, but it's been years since I saw it. It might've actually been on a tv show now that I think about it, but if I ever find it I'm definitely gonna post it because it's a very real look at the two perspectives in the community.

BM is god damn retarded. Except maybe I shouldn't call it retarded because that'd be insulting to mentally disabled people, as your average Sped/exceptional individual knows better than to engage in this kind of shit.

Just to be clear, I'm not referring to standard tattooing or piercing here, since I know technically BM includes these two categories.

Okay, some people don't really get the appeal of body modification, but some people would assume that part of the reason people do more extreme body mods such as tongue splitting or penis splitting is because they get respect from other members in the body mod community, which rewards their behavior. It is an interesting culture though.

Some people would consider getting scarification, but that's probably the most extreme. Those people would consider.

Edit to prevent double post

There are people in the body mod community into what is known as suspension.

For those who no longer trust anything I put under a spoiler, there's a guy who put a bunch of hooks in the back of his body and is suspended several feet in the air while a crowd of people who must have no gag reflex takes pictures.

Some people have had the opportunity to experience suspension, and it's really not painful at all. You just feel your skin pulling. The most painful part is getting the hooks in, and that only hurts for a brief second.

Edited to fix powerleveling.

The only body-mod artist I really admire is Lizard Man. Cuz he doesn't give a fuck if people make fun of him. He's just like, whatever. And he's a lizard.

That and people who do this to become circus freaks. At least they're honest and say, "yeah, we're freaks. And we LIKE being freaks." Own it, people. If people make fun of you, get over it.

Hypocrite much?

Scarification some people consider very mild, and some people can see the appeal of scarification.
With suspension, then those people did it because they like new experiences, and it's an experience that doesn't come around all that often.

Now, some of the more extreme stuff, like cutting your dick in two, amputation, forked tongues, some people don't quite grasp the appeal, but they accept that it's their body.
