Edit: I get Susan Scofield vibes from Jeanette in this Rosie clip. She seems way too happy and excited to have a kid with serious psychological issues, Of course because it means she can be on TV and get attention from celebrities. These days the only so-called "celebrities" paying attention to her are creeps like Zinnia Jones and other gross people who sell lewds instead of getting a real job. One of the things with watching these older clips of Jazz as a young boy is the horror that comes from hindsight. You can look back on the issues that have arisen for him over the years since, and it's quite the terror that his life has become (not that it wasn't before - but still). The story of Jaron Bloshinsky is one of horrific abuse and trauma.

Or, even more to the point: an ethical nutritionist would not have a first consult with an adult patient with three family members also sitting in the room. Totally unethical, unless the patient in question has a diagnosed learning disability, which Jazz does not as far as I know.

It’s all fun and games designed to make Jazz the patsy once again.

The answer is very likely "No" however, one has to wonder if Jazz has ever been allowed alone in the room with a medical professional in his entire life. Camera crews do count as people.

Jazz might resent Ari, but she has reason to resent him, too. His hypothetical suicide was used to guilt her when she was a little girl, she obviously doesn't care for the cameras, and now she's on "keep Jazz away from the butter" duty. She's not the one who chose this.

While there's resentment undoubtedly there, I think ButterCop is maybe more about genuine concern mixed with frustration.

Imagine you went with your sibling to a nutritionist because they're morbidly obese. The sibling clearly checked out and refused to engage with the nutritionist's advice despite paying it lip service. Then in the kitchen, making dinner, your sibling ignored the blatantly started making a big batch of pasta to gorge on before dinner right in front of you (and tried to lie about it), you'd get exasperated too. It's easier not to say anything and just passively enable that behaviour because telling an addict "no" always causes this sort of reaction, so actually getting in an argument with Jazz is the harder but kinder thing to do.

I do think some of Ari's reaction can be summed up as "this lazy entitled sack of shit is trying my last nerve" but I don't think it's the only reaction she's having.

The only time I have ever seen on the show when he was alone in a room with a medical professional was when a doctor was examining his micropeen, and even that was an ethical fuckdoodle because a) Jazz was underage at the time and b) both he and the “doctor” were miked and their discussion of the micropeen broadcast.

I know, I know, it’s a show, filming the medical experimentation on this kid is the whole point, I get it. I just find it a total mindfuck that even when he goes to get treatment for the abuse that was heaped on him, and filmed, even the treatment for that has to be filmed, and the narrative clearly sets him up for failure.

It’s meta abuse piled on abuse. O brave new world, that has such people in it!

Yeah this shot pretty convincingly proves that despite the hormone intervention, nature, uh, found a way. Jaron’s height, build, limbs, etc are nearly identical with the male members of his family than that of the female ones. Like Nikki, Kim Petras, and other now-adult transed kids, Jaron’s body is simply hardwired to be male.

Not sure why I can't quote @Muttnik's excellent recap, but

-Sander hooks up with Hope via skype. Super cringe with the smalltalk. Sander looks thirsty and desperate the entire time which, newsflash, is never a good way to attract anyone, troon or no. Hope is huge btw. Even on camera.
-The mood instantly changes after Sander asks Hope out. It turns from cringe to a literal hostage crisis as Sander realizes what he's gotten himself into. They're going to go ice skating.
