yeah man, got that all of my chest since i used to like some of his videos 5-6 years ago. i originally left because he stopped being funny, but i didn't hate him until i noticed how fake and lame he was. once he realized his original fanbase was dwindling due to him running out of material, he p much said "fuck it" and scared off most of his remaining fans to replace them with the average braindead twitter zoomers with his political sperging. they just wanted to see him react to funny videos and rip on people, but the fat creep couldn't deliver anymore so he burnt everything he had to the ground and gave his old fans the finger. and you're probably right, i bet these days he'd call Hugh Mungus an incel or some other "slam dunk" buzzword.

Gary Klein doesn't realize Twitter is too toxic of an environment for his simpery and opinions to flourish without being used as a cudgel to attack his son. If he wants to engage in this type of behavior, he'd be better off creating an account and doing it here on KF.

Ethan's shift reminds me a good bit of ShoeOnHead tbh. Both likely barely cared and grifted off of trends made by other creators (H3H3 and Sam Hyde in 2013 and Shoe and the Sceptics in 2014) . Though I will say Ethan was a pioneer of YT commentary in the early to mid 2010s unlike Shoe who wasn't really funny or insightful to begin with. Both are distanced from their early works and shifted their politics from left leaning to whatever American Twitter is venerating in current moment and consistently pander to those views and their related interests (petty rage-culture, nonsense racial stances, consoomerdom, etc)

Ethan's an atheist. He's been anywhere from indifferent to outright hostile of Judasim (remember that video where he went to that holy wall in Israel or whatever and started publicly disrespecting it?), and at this point he's only Jewish ethnically. I wouldn't blame you for forgetting - the last four pages have devolved into /pol/-esque "jews bad whites good" sperging. Naturally, Ethan only has himself and his braindead comments to blame for this.

Christmas is a secular holiday for most of the US. You worship a tree and get presents. The last mainstream Christmas song to reference anything Christian is fucking Christmas Shoes. Christmas is everyone's holiday now, and not only will doing a Christmas special sell, but it's probably fun to make.
