I can kind of see where he's coming from. The 3.5e mechanics show up in the most unusual places and for a long time seemed to be the default RPG stats mechanic.I don't know what he means when he describes 3.5 like that

Being free, the D20 SRD was the GNU of tabletop frameworks. We see the same thing with PBtA and other free systems now.I can kind of see where he's coming from. The 3.5e mechanics show up in the most unusual places and for a long time seemed to be the default RPG stats mechanic.
The OGL has emboldened many a cut-and-paste "game designer" to share their boring homebrew settings with everyone. Lucky us. Retro-clones are the kit cars of RPGs.Being free, the D20 SRD was the GNU of tabletop frameworks. We see the same thing with PBtA and other free systems now.
I'm relistening to confirm this to make sure, and it seems like he actually says he tries to put himself into the mindset that it's real. He doesn't go full CWCville, but he wishes it was and he treats it like virtual reality and matrix.@Adamska and I just watched this video that he posted less than an hour ago and boy, this one is amazing, he basically admits in this video that Chaa'lt is real in another dimension somewhere. He literally believes Cha'alt is his CWCville ladies and gentlemen. I recommend everyone watch this, it is only four minutes long and it is golden.

While that was happening, I tried out the confessional mechanic. This is something my friend Judd talked about on MeWe, explaining an aspect of the RPG InSpectres which I hadn't heard about. Basically, you treat it like a reality TV show where characters occasionally break off, go to a booth just off-camera, and speak directly to the viewing audience. My spin on it is a little different than InSpectres, but I wanted to give credit where credit was due.
This is his sigil by the way:Last but not least, the Kort'thalis sigil. I've been interested in the occult and magic since I was young. Post-college I really began studying things like chaos magic, which is big with sigils. Kort'thalis is something I designed long ago, and decided to use it to increase the immersion of my games. It was originally designed to be a meta-sigil, so I knew Kort'thalis had the capacity to help. Before each game, I meditate on the sigil for a minute (sometimes longer). My intention is to make the shared world we imagine as real as possible, as if the characters were actually in Cha'alt, and events were actually taking place in this alternate universe we've manifested as a group.
Okay, the new blog post Darrick promised is up (archive)
This is what really stuck out to me:
In this game, they explore the megadungeon and they basically fought demons who were found fucking some women (though from what they could tell, it didn't seem like the women were in distress) and of course they fucked the women afterwards because of course.
He also talked about this mechanic him and his buddy on MeWe came up with called the "Confessional Mechanic" which sounds demented. You basically treat the game like some reality show or something? What?
He mentioned this in the video, but it is so much weirder to see it in writing where he meditates on his little sigil he has in his notebook as some chaos magic ritual, how autistic.
This is his sigil by the way:

The "confessional" from InSpectres serves a purpose. But InSpectres is a different kind of game than whatever OSR trace job he's playing. It's inspired by Ghostbusters and VERY narrative. Players can break off into "confessional" once per sesh, and take center stage to alter details of the story. Not something I'd play all the time, but it's a great and easy pick-up game once in a while. Why would you ever pretend to fuck a demon's sloppy seconds? Fucking Omega behavior.
Also I see we've learned the form ofthe destroyerDarrick's highdea and it is literally The Office but d20. Or I guess in this case, literally the Dungeon.
For some reason I thought there was a chance he was going to do something with the Gods actively watching the party or w/e, and now I don't know why I ever thought that.
Edit: Much as I'm loathed to admit it, there is something almost usable from this. The "off camera interview" would be a great way to interface with players and check in on how the campaign is going. But once again, Darrick is running oneshots and megadungeons at most. No idea why you need to check in during.
I "get" what he's doing with his Sigil, a routine to sit down and get into the game world.
I do something similar from time to time, especially when I'm building maps I like to make up little stories about this or that little feature. I have NPCs that 'speak' to me. But I know its not 'magic', and it is not that NPC talking or some 12th dimensional psychic communication from the plane whereanimeD&D is real; its just a mental exercise to get you into a state of mind.
I really doubt Darrick's Brain (contains 40000mg of THC) is able to tell the difference between reality and "Its actually an elder god speaing to me through this sigil. Its telling me to kill my wife, BRB"
No, somewhere in his house at night, little six year old Trinity is without her pink nightlight and scared of the monsters in her house like the guy in the Cthulhu mask she witnessed who came after mommy and covered her with slime while wrestling with her that one night she tried to ask for a glass of water is going to come after her next. And am I the only one who thinks it's kind of gross that he borrows stuff from his daughters to use in his sex-infused games? Bruh.
Speaking of CONSOOM, he's wearing an Imperial Guard shirt.Darrick doing movie reviews. Darrick reviews Don't Look Up and the Matrix 4. I never seen Don't Look Up so I don't have a comment, but he says it is good and it is actually quite anti-left than what it was intended and all the stuff about bashing the conservatives is alright because he is inoculated against it. I love how he tries to act like he was on the right's side the whole time and totally not a bandwagon hopper.
As for the Matrix, he totally backpedals on his tweet after a lot of people gave him flack for it saying it was good and even when he does that, he still concedes that he likes it for the most part and he enjoyed it and gave it "three out of five stars." I bet you anything Darrick is only doing that so his followers don't betray him and realize he is a mindless consoomer (which I am surprised they haven't already), especially since he spergs about Star Wars a bit at the end saying how awesome it is.
He goes all over the place with his reviews, again, being baked out of his mind.
Also, for some reason he is recording this video in his kid's play room.

Dick Dishrag also sold copies of Star Wars REUP (a fan-made update/expansion of the classic D6 SW ruleset that is distributed FREE online) on lulu dot com. He got smacked down for a copyright claim, but continued selling the book via links distriubuted to people who emailed him.Speaking of CONSOOM, he's wearing an Imperial Guard shirt.
Reminder that buying that is further funding Disney's further attempts to rape that franchise to death and proving that Star Wars fans would cheer for you even if you break their arms and rape their cat if it's done in a cool costume or with a lightsaber.
Now as for his opinions, I don't think he really pays attention or cares about films, he just claps at the things happening on the screen due to nostalgia dopamine, or because thing happen. It's what happens when you just plain smoke several rips a day.
Nice catch; I knew he wasn't above scamming due to his attempt at being a life coach, and also how he treated his stupid crit table rules as worthy of a kickstarter. But I had no idea he'd be such a piece of shit that he'd try to scalp people on old WEG rulesets.Dick Dishrag also sold copies of Star Wars REUP (a fan-made update/expansion of the classic D6 SW ruleset that is distributed FREE online) on lulu dot com. WEG d6 Star Wars Roleplaying Game REUP
I've uploaded the Star Wars RPG revised, expanded, and updated document to my dropbox here . If anyone wants to use it for their perso...vengersatanis.blogspot.com
Not even an old WEG ruleset, but the REUP (Revised, Expanded, Updated) fan project, that is distributed FREE in PDF online. He was taking something that had been freely donated and charging for it. Part of the reason it's "free" fan material is because it uses copyrighted material, of course. You can get the latest version here: http://d6holocron.com/downloads/books/REUP.pdfNice catch; I knew he wasn't above scamming due to his attempt at being a life coach, and also how he treated his stupid crit table rules as worthy of a kickstarter. The winning thing out of all of this is this entitled douchebag doesn't even see stealing a free asset made by others and trying to whine how he colored it so he deserves money off of others' work and a copywritten work already as wrong. This sack of human garbage who steals his children's room and nightlights for his own ego and narcissism has the gall to accuse the person who outed him as a thief from both fans and IP as a Judas. Not even an old WEG ruleset, but the REUP (Revised, Expanded, Updated) fan project, that is distributed FREE in PDF online. There exist similar fan communities for other previously licensed RPGs that can no longer be produced. Marvel Super Heroes, for example, has a thriving fan community that churns out impressive free products on the regular.
That's the wife of Austrian Identitarian Martin Sellner, originally known as Brittany Pettibone. (Surprisingly neither has a KF thread yet, only scattered mentions.)There is also this one PUA channel called Better Bachelor and also this anti-feminist tradwife named Brittany Sellner which I find ironic he would be into her considering he sucks as a provider and has Danielle be the breadwinner and pretty much do all the work.
