Well, TLC sure does seem to love showing off "wholesome" families, and a lot of them seem to have sexual abuse scandals so...I won't be surprised if it turns out someone in the family diddled Jazz. Also wouldn't be surprised if Jeannette knows about it but gaslighted Jazz into thinking it's no big deal. She already refuses to let him talk about how botched his surgery is. Not a far leap to for her to do the same if he got sexually abused, especially if it would make the family look bad. My guess is it either happened when he was young by a close family/family friend or maybe even another kid, or Jeannette actually forced the dilator into his frankenvag because he didn't do it himself.

Based on a quick look through Bowers' website he does not have a professional Twitter so any account claiming to him would have to be a troll: The "Contact Us" page for his practice only lists Facebook and LinkedIn along with the normal contact form and phone numbers. Less shocking is that the "Media Appearances" section on his CV is the longest of them all

From what I have seen of him he is less of a self-promoter than other butchers and already very well known in the trans community so he may have (correctly) figured that using Twitter could not help him.

The handle Marcibdoc is Dr Bowers gmail address (verified through WPATH literature) and a name he uses in his online reviews, including Amazon. Scroll back through the twitter and you’ll find selfies and tv news appearances he promoted nearly a decade ago. It’s him. Bowers is just a boomer who has no idea about blue checks.

No one cares that he's probably about to break, and either end it quickly or slowly kill himself with food because it's the only thing that comforts him. No one gave a shit about his bingeing enough to try to help him early on, even though they all knew he was bingeing and had proof of it. They don't get him actual therapy, they just shove pills at him, SSRIs and most likely painkillers, because that's an easier solution than to actually treat the problem. And they can't treat the problem, because everyone around him was complicit in it.

The problem is that most troons, even the teenagers know it can go horribly wrong, they just don't think it will happen to them and/or tend to ignore the dangers. It's even worse for early transitioners because they have been groomed and stunted. If Jazz had any second thoughts, Jeanette wouldn't have cared.

I sympathize with Jazz in regards to binge eating. It’s really hard to control even if you try dieting. Dieting can aggravate the cravings and cause relapses with the disorder. I think it’s harder than anorexia since you need food to survive and can’t just cut it out of your life. At least with anorexia you’re expected to eat more.

Average non medical kiwi agrees, I mean the more healthy living tissue there is to work with the less of a chance there could be complications.
Even the breast jobs I’ve seen on troons that look slightly more convincing use tissue expanders first because there’s just not a natural pocket of tissue there and it makes it look less like tight half grapefruits stretched under skin.

Tissue expansion was discussed with Dr Jess Ting but he warned that it was very painful, many patients do not want to make the adjustments to the expander on their own and the patient basically ends up immobilised with a large grapefruit size protruberance in the area of their balls. So that would basically mean staying at home and being a recluse for months before the surgery and, being as how Jazz was already struggling with binge eating and depression, his parents decided against it.

Tissue expansion is a sloooooooow process especially when all you have to work with is nanopeen. The human body is not some magical anime character that can expand and contract at will. Takes ages to grow extra skin and tissue and doesn’t always work, look what burn victims have to go through.

Also @Putin Bot you raise a good question but I actually doubt that anyone really things I Am Jazz is stunning and brave anymore. I haven’t seen many troon activists online hold up Jazz as a great example of childhood transition like they used to, they know they done fucked up with this one, however they don’t care as there are many more child victims on the assembly line (see: Desmond Napoles). I think the audience for the show now is mostly people who watch for the freakery, people who watch out of pity, and Terfs who watch because they like being proven right in the most depressing way imaginable.
