Just to recap: she got popular posting on 4chan and making videos out of 4chan memes, she even went as far as hosting /v/'s Vidya Gaem Awards in 2011.

Then it came to her that maybe she could become a real voice actress, so she turned against her fanbase and went full SJW tumblrina to fit in with the industry.

A few years later, the vtuber boom happened and she knew she might have a chance to cash in on it, but SJWs weren't exactly popular over there. She decided to turn against her tumblrina fanbase and started playing loli games like Nekopara that she was rallyiing against just a few years earlier.

It's only a matter of time until she finds another opportunity and turns against her fanbase yet again. And she will get away with it again, because she isn't a dumbass. She is watched by thousands of dumbasses and she knows it.

I kind of get what Pierrot is saying, though. I mean, he demonstrated a couple of the other examples of Nyanners appealing to the lowest common denominator, being a hypocrite about it, and getting away with it quite easily. How would the example you just mentioned be any different?

I'm sure if you dug up something like a nude video and tried to push it into the public awareness, she might just double down on "sex positivity" as a defense, and her following, plus a bunch of self-righteous idiots, would eagerly bandwagon alongside her.

Nijisanji debuted a new "generation" to their EN branch this past week with five male performers. This is the first agency to target the EN market with male vtubers, and going by sub and watch numbers, so far they've been a success. The most subbed so far is Vox Akuma, a deep-voiced Brit.

Today, a Tumblr page of accusations has surfaced accusing him of "manipulation, gaslighting, mistreatment of coworkers, as well as flirting with minors as young as 12" under some of his previous identities. Evidence so far is all hearsay, and in particular with the stuff with minors there's not (yet, anyway) any accusations from the people involved and the timeline would have put him as also a teenager if/when it happened anyway, so while there's a good chance that this guy is actually tahksic, there's just a good chance that people are dredging up and embellishing old gripes now that someone they know has "made it big." Perhaps we'll know more in the future.

It's notable that this drama involves Undertale, Discord, Tumblr, amateur voice acting, and Twitter, so it really is a witches' brew of autism.

This "puppy" is certainly worth noting in this thread given his degree of lunacy, but why does it sound like the only reason you're posting about him is because she's paying more attention to a useful ultrasimp than she is to you?

Once the bubble bursts from market over saturation what will happen in the post?

In my opinion, there's definitely a bubble. Vtubers are a hot new trend and lots of people are trying to get into it. But I think eventually the novelty will wear off and the number of people who will ever be interested in this sort of thing will top out, and established streamers will see their numbers hold steady at best while newer ones will fail to gain a foothold. I don't predict large-scale "graduations" (firings) of agency streamers since the expenses for having a streamer on staff are (at least from what we can see on the outside) fairly low and it doesn't make sense to cut a streamer so long as they're at least topping that number, but they will probably slow down or even stop introducing new "generations" and less profitable streamers might start to look for work in other fields and graduate on their own volition.

Of course, I also predicted this would happen well before 2022, and that doesn't seem to be happening, so take it with a grain of salt… but look at bloodsports streamers, ASMR streamers, PUBG streamers, etc. They didn't disappear entirely, but as their correlated red-hot trends inevitably declined in popularity, most of then had to move on to something else.

The bubble "happen" because about 90% of people joining VTuber trend has nearly no creativity and innovation whatsoever. Its all follow the leaders; ASMR, games that literally every Niji and Holo already played, Apex Legends, on and on.

Creative industry isn't a fucking stock market or asset trading. Dont be a sheep or those generic isekai shit and be (atleast mostly) stand out from the others. It can be anything, seriously.

Good and very reasonable questions.

1) it's the nature of the game - you're shoehorned into working "as a faction" to vote for heroes and fight for world bosses etc against another faction, and generally guild leaders form alliances so my guild leader was naturally allied with hers. Also, I subject myself to it because I'm mentally ill - also there's no other fun pvp mmos around.

2) I have no defense! This is a fair assumption. I just thought the situation was funny enough to post - I don't have any way to claim that what you're saying isn't true so I won't try to bullshit with words haha
