Snark aside, whatever makes female vtubers a different level of fun to watch/listen to than female streamers, why can that same "whatever" apply to male streamers as well? At any rate, if you look at the numbers that the NijiEN boys are pulling, the market is speaking.

The same criteria can be applied for females, i dont discriminate from who i get my khantent as long at is entertaining to me, there is a weird misconception that male vtubers dont sell when you have kuzuha up there being the king of the hill

With female vtubers, I get the appeal hence why I've been posting in this thread for nearly a year. They have a certain voice and character they bring to the avatar. Most importantly, they aren't ethots...well most of them aren't that is. The one way I can see HolostarsEN appealing to me is if they show some Goku/Vegeta tier english voice acting behind the character. With a personality to match as well. Otherwise, I can't see them being very successful.

They bring the same thing as female Vtubers. The points you are mentioning are only a matter of taste. Let's assume for a second that I don't see the appeal in female Vtubers, and I just mirror your point about voices. "They use that cutesy childish voice and it irritates me, or maybe they pretend to be a dommy mommy and it makes me cringe seeing them do it, or they just sound like some normal chick except they're an anime girl." Your mention about them not being 'ethots' is interesting, only because if you care about the person behind the model then you've seen evidence of 'ethottery' from a not insignificant portion of hololive as a whole from this very thread. Even if you don't care about the roommate, surely you can see that the actions our idols take when on screen are at least comparable to the usual streamer antics. The teasing and seductive nature that draws men in to drain their wallets is not an accident.

I say all of this only to point out that you are somewhat confusing your taste with your ability to see how they could appeal to an audience different than you. The StarsEn branch will almost certainly be less successful than the girls, this is based on the undisputable fact that there are less female otaku that swoon over hot anime dudes, especially in the west. However, just because the market is smaller doesn't mean you shouldn't tap it. Not to mention the fact that I myself will happily watch any of the ones that can keep my interest and provide entertainmemt.

2. Vox Akuma: you know you have hit gold when the (((usuals))) are making dumb shit out of you on homosexual places like Tumblr, the weird thing about him is how he change according of how he is streaming, he sells the daddy BL shit alone but you can see him banter and being a monkey when he is on collabs
3. Ike: im not surprised that he is the favorite of the girls considering how he talks like a hairdresser thing that sell him hard, his range is all over the place, has weird knowledge of all ass games that want to play but need the dreaded (((((PERMITS))))) or money in the case of Rules of Rose
4. Mysta: the punching bag of Luxiem, the boi is a meme machine since his debut compared with Finana sometimes

She is really good at interacting with the others and is constantly joining streams or having people join her streams to just chat. The "hi honey" schtick was overused and annoying but she doesn't seem to use it as much now (guessing it was just due to nervousness). I hate the whole "step on me" thing that some people seem to associate her with but I do love the whole "boomer parent wanting to be hip and cool with the kids" character she plays.

I second this. Nina's interactions with the Boys have been gold so far. Before she joined vc she was joking with chat about doing a 'disappointed mom' voice pack. That segment was hilarious.

I enjoyed Aruran's meme streams and learning English ages ago, and can occasionally pop into an Astel karaoke, but other than that, the Holostars never seem to stream in times that are good for me (and/or they stream content I'm not interested in). And of course, the times I have watched them, there's nobody live translating in chat.

If nothing else, HolostarsEN will be big simply because you add the Holo brand name to content that's much easier for NA EOPs to watch.
My hope is that we'll get some nice StarsEN/StarsJP collabs.

What'll be really interesting is to see how frequent male/female collabs will be on the EN side. There's no rule against it on JP, but still only a few of them do. I'm guessing some of them (maybe Calli, maybe Bae?) will frequently collab with EN guys, whereas Kiara will have to be dragged kicking and screaming.

Not really interested in watching male vtuber stream alone, however I'm definitely invested in the collab potential.

As far as JP goes I'm sure Fubuki and Towa will be the first to reach out for a collab followed by any of the westaboo girls. ID I think everyone except Anya and Moona will be up for it. EN everyone except Gura and Kiara maybe Kronii and Ina if the guys are too extroverted.
