It's Christmas and the rest of the fam will be reawakening in a few hours, so I'll leave you all to read or re-discover all the death and rape threats towards TERFS and other "anti trans" people from perceived misgendering, as well as all those who have lost their jobs or have ruined reputations from TRA's cancelling.
Labelle: I may be a pedo diaper fur but at least I’m not rude!

One of the strangest thing about modern times is how a group can simultaneously have so much power, influence and resources thrown at them yet are somehow considered less privileged than the average person.

Troons are like a living example of The Emperor’s New Clothes fable where everyone is too scared to call them out.

You'll have plenty of time to question your identity by your own agency after you become an adult, as opposed to when you're a vulnerable minor. But if you're prompted to question your identity at the suggestion of others, for sake of political reform, and not for personal introspection and benefit, then it comes off to me as more of an unnatural intervention of an individual's development. Under such involvement, can an intervening party fairly posit that the status quo is unfairly partial with regards to how identification by others is defined, rather than that it's naturally formed?

Wait, never mind that, I just realized which of the two was the original and which was the remake, I had it backwards. Jesus Christ, what a downgrade.

"The gender assignation process affects everyone, trans or not."

On the one hand, duh. I think it's normal and natural to wonder what life would be like if I'd been born Brandon instead of Brenda. I certainly wouldn't be idling in bed half the day with cramps.

But on the other hand, I don't think that's what is being implied here. Is Billy seriously arguing that every child should be raised as a "theybe" and given a gender-neutral name at birth? And then forcibly kept gender-neutral for as long as possible? This has been tried to various degrees, and it's kind of nefarious and doomed to fail.

I genuinely don't know what world these people want to live in.

Notice that the setup for the comic is also different. In the original, Frank is annoyed with having to work with Stephie on an assignement, and Stephie is the one who brings up tranny talking points. In the "improved" one, Frank is a mindless drone who only exists to ask questions about gender and absorb Stephie's lecture.

Labelle's writing somehow found a way to get shittier. What little character and conflict there was has been scrubbed so as not to interfere with Labelle's wish fulfillment.
