Not necessarily related to the video, but I would posit that a significant reason for the Malthusianism and antinatalism on the contemporary western left is this underlying hatred of responsibility and personal obligation: they don't want to be given the "burden" of raising children (and then moralize this as a way of not appearing lazy or cold-hearted). Recently, I read in a book that polyamory has become increasingly common in the past 10 years because having multiple partners at once serves as a substitute for having a family for those looking for a source of love. This isn't just because the cost of raising a family is so expensive, but because accumulating lovers the way a capitalist accumulates capital can be quite individualistic and doesn't require the same degree of sacrifice that a lifelong partner and children do. (I'm not saying everyone who's polyamorous is hyper-individualist, I'm merely pointing out why the cultural trend has shifted in this direction.) I know way more anarchist comrades in poly relationships than I know anarchist comrades with kids, for instance.

NoFap was started by men of all races and faiths, and it was a way to address an addiction that is repeatedly said not to exist.

The USA is "far right" for 40 years because the people posting been alive for a little less than that and the propaganda paints the democrat party in a good light before that along with the romanticized 1960's. The democrat party propaganda back then claimed they were for the blue collar worker and attributed the moral panic to evangelicals despite many democrat party members, who are still in congress today, spearheading them. Being anti-christian is the safe mainstream belief so attributing all moralistic behavior to christians exonerates themselves and their allies. Their US history is extremely selective and riddled with inaccuracies as if they learned it from cartoons, hollywood, and tumblr. I can't tell if people like him are lying or if their bubble is that small. Maybe he is like farming seeing as how he's said edgy things in the past.

Interestingly, gun control as the US knows it is now relegated to Democrat Party leadership and more extreme democrat party politicians. The support among democrat voters only increases a small amount after the media blitz following a school shooting. The democrat party leadership has a hard time getting gun control passed given how new restrictions will makes millions of owned firearms illegal which impacts a large part of the party's voter base. It may be even larger now that more urban, slightly-anti-gun democrat voters purchased weapons during the civil unrest.
As for internet, they won't make a profit because laying fiber is too expensive. There are still places with slow internet or just cellular. For power, they have a lot of above-ground power lines in rural areas which have a much higher chance of being knocked down due to the amount of trees bordering the lines. For water, some rural areas still use wells that require electricity to operate.

Wilson was extemely anti-communist and extremely anti-anarchist. He oversaw much of the 1st Red Scare and even had the socialist candidate jailed.
Ironically, the ensuing court case is where we get "don't say fire in a crowded movie theatre" as a comparison for being anti-war during a war. It was just a comment from a random SC Justice though. Their basis for imprisoning bigots comes from extreme anti-leftists and red baiters.
