This is tangential to the topic at hand, but I don't understand why these butchers don't at least attempt to use tissue expansion to increase the amount of skin they have to work with, especially in patients like Jazz. It does take months for the expander to reach its full volume, which I guess may be unacceptable for these instant gratification types, but I'd think that the results would be cosmetically superior.

Bowers (and I think the other two surgeons he consulted) suggested that, as well as - alternately - testosterone cream applied topically to "naturally" expand the tissue and provide more available skin. Jazz rejected both techniques as too "triggering."

Jazz ended up being a recluse alone at home anyway, even without tissue expanders. Irony.

If a patient is unwilling to adjust an expander, how can they be expected to continue cramming a dilator into a dehiscent wound every day? In any other surgical discipline, patients are evaluated for ability to comply with physician's instructions for before and after surgery. If you can't or won't complete pre-procedural requirements, you aren't a surgical candidate. It's baffling to me that these surgeons will operate on anyone. I know there's money involved, but surgeons are also a competitive bunch and keep track of metrics like rate of post-surgical complications. I have been watching some of the new season. My take on the change in family dynamic:

Making the family look bad is one of the worst betrayals in the mind of a narcissistic parent. Jazz's fatness is a very serious transgression in Jeannette's mind because they can't hide it. The reason sander is being shoved in all our faces is because Jeannette is giving him some preference now as a way to punish jazz. Sander has likely never had this level of parental attention in his entire life, and is being pushed into these weird dating scenarios because it makes his mother happy. Its really weird and sick, and she does not seem to be concerned that she is pushing her son into dating sexual deviants that are much bigger and stronger than he is. And if anything bad happened, you can be sure it wouldn't be her fault. Just like with jazz's "vagina". Its never jeannette's fault.

Ari is probably enjoying the ability to criticize Jazz. I would be unsurprised if it was basically forbidden before jazz got fat. The divide and conquer strategy that these parents use on their children is incredibly effective. Making someone hold back all their resentment means you can weaponize it very easily, by suddenly allowing grievances to be aired.

As a homosexual, I found that acceptable and tolerance of homosexuality has to do with a couple of things. The most important thing is personal income and the country’s economy. If you visit anywhere around the globe, the higher Income and education tends to be associated with tolerance for homosexuality. Even in places like Nigeria. The educated elite tend to have a sorta of agreement. Secondly, it makes sense that a hostile environment where people live on less dollar a day isn’t going to be accepting of homosexuality. Most of these people are too busy trying to survive in unstable environment. Third point, hostile, unstable environments are dangerous for everyone.

As a gay guy who makes above the average income and who has a college education, I find most of this talk about how x country is anti gay to be fearmongering. The general rule if you’re gay and want to travel to anti gay countries is go to the areas where the elites hang out and you’ll be fine. Exactly this. I think it was Jordan Peterson who said that the mark of a good, mentally sound parent is that they enjoy rearing their young but that they are also happy when their offspring become fully fledged healthy adults and can launch into the world successfully. Because that is what good parenting is designed to achieve. Failure to launch is a very bad thing. This site would not exist were it not for a plethora of basement dwelling lol cows who singularly failed to launch into healthy adulthood and spend their time cooming and larping online instead.

Jeanette often says things that she thinks normal parents would say but that accidentally reveal the grim truth of the Jennings situation. The reason why she loved child Jazz was because she saw him as a cute little girldoll who she could dress up and who would reliably parrot the script she gave him, the script in which he would repeat over and over again what a wonderful mom she was. I think Jazz honestly has an extremely stunted IQ and has a child's understanding of the world so isn't self aware enough to rebel against her parents. But, who knows. Just seems like Jazz has an extremely limited intellectual capacity or functioning. That may be harsh. It may just be Stockholm syndrome.
