Most of my issues with the vaccine don’t come from the vaccine itself, but how governments are handling it. A big reason I was more vaccine hesitant was because it didn’t feel like my own choice. Some people have had it far worse than I have where it’s “get the vaccine, or you won’t have a job”. I don’t think the death rate from COVID, even without a vaccine, justifies that. It isn’t the plague, and has been mutating into weaker strains over time. On top of that, there are better treatments available that originally weren’t there when less was known about the Coronavirus.

All that being said, between myself and many others in my family getting the vaccines, no one in my immediate family has had any complications. My sister has gotten the vaccine and is now pregnant, so it hasn’t affected her fertility as far as I’m aware. However, not everyone has been lucky and with vaccines being mandated in some cases, you should have the right to sue the manufacturers for any complications you do have. Interestingly, these pharmaceutical companies seem to be exempt from most of that. That is wrong. From the data have seen so far though, less people have had complications from the vaccine than with COVID itself, but that doesn’t mean the vaccines are automatically good in all cases, as stated above.

The nature of the virus is that it mutates quickly, so of course a vaccine won’t be the panacea. It’s like the flu, where every year new strains of the flu are flying around, so the flu shot changes slightly every time to accommodate that. I’m still unsure of how effective the vaccine really is because of conflicting messages. What I do know is that the virus is not nearly as dangerous as the media has made it out to be, nor is the vaccine as dangerous as some make it out to be (on a relative scale).

In the end though, mask mandates are gay, as well as vaccine mandates. Lockdowns are unnecessary. Either you decide to get the vaccine or not, but this is what really matters to me and what I want people to get behind.
