She needs an outlet to keep her alters straight (lol) and bitch unfiltered to her close friends but realizes this is harmful to her prospects.

Alyssa is honestly in my deadpool although probably not for a few years. Paul is has all the personality ingredients for a seriously abusive bounce-off-the-walls DV perp and he has access to weapons to kill her with. She's insane and has no friends, so nobody to miss her but us. He's not going to dump her until he finds a younger, richer mark and he's not hot or charismatic enough for that. Her getting fat will only make that problem worse, because Paul's the kind of guy who feels entitled to nice things, like a skinny sex pet, and gets ugly dramatic when he can't have them (ref: Tranch).

Powerlevel here - I have seen abusive relationships where the abuser intentionally encourages excess food intake and weight gain as a way to damage the self-esteem of their victim, make them "less attractive", and therefore make it less likely that they will flee. I don't necessarily think that's the case here. Alyssa is probably eating more because she's living with an insatiable human dumpster, meaning she's eating more often and eating larger portions than she would if she was by herself.
I hope she doesn't think he'll pay child support. Troons don't do that.

This is not only a control tactic, but anger at the fact that Alyssa got a thread as soon as she stepped on the scene, while Paul’s been around for years, and is only ever considered a Kevin or Tranch orbiter. And now he’s an Alyssa orbiter, too. That combined with whatever emasculating shit went down at the Tranch recently, and he’s seething and trying to exert what little control he has.
I honestly think it’s the other way around here. Paul got off of estrogen because he knows Alyssa is too flaky to keep up with birth control (if she’s even on it), and he sees impregnating her as a way to control her and make her reliant on him.
