i think this is a good experience for tommy being on his own without his mother to bail him out. tommy seems like the kind of guy who has been sheltered all his life and put on meds as soon as the parents learned he would develop mental difficulties. the parents of these kids seem to forget the fact they will one day grow old and die and all that is left is a drug-up manchild that will cry and tardrage at the first sign of difficulty. even when his surrounded by the biggest scum and dregs of society, he can learn something from this experience.

I genuinely feel for him. I can relate on a few levels. His mother seems like an absolute nightmare, the way she treats his father is shocking too. That man needs to just up and leave, she would soon realise what he does for her, which i suspect is everything.

His mother would still bail him out should anything serious happen. No woman like his mother would abandon her baby. She will use any failure against him and reign him back in. Agreed, that’s exactly what I was saying a couple pages back when people were complaining about how it’s messed up for the RV crew to mess with Tommy since he’s disabled. (I know that’s not what @the new ford bronco was implying, but still.)

Btw what happened to Tommy wanting to go back home? I remember on Christmas he was on the phone with his mom saying he wanted to take a Greyhound back to Cali to go back home. Honestly I’m happy for Tommy if he’s enjoying his vacation with the degen streamers. Hopefully he’ll have learned something useful by the time he gets back home.
