I hope this is not all off topic but I archive Shanny for Christ very frequently.
Anyway, her relationship with her parents also reminded me of how Phil is.
She feels entitled, rees into the camera because she "feels no love from her parents."
Her dad just died, and Shanny made it ALL about herself.
Her mom is sick and in hospice and the mom's side of the family has been against letting Shanny see the mom.
This, in my opinion has been the best decision they could make.
What if Phil's mother is not well and dad refuses to let Phil see her, or talk to her. Or what if he had a huge falling out with his parents- hence the exponential rise in begging.
I have always said Phil is basically waiting for his parents t die.

He moved away from his friends and family to a place where he knew absolutely nobody.

When he moved to Washington it strikes me as him having this idea in his head that CT is a place for retards and that now that he is a successful machoor adult he must go to a big city because that means you made it,imagine someone living in a town of a few dozen thousand people that thinks once he moves to the big city he will leave all the small city losers behind, same energy.

I have an autistic theory but it might explain a lot about little Phillip. I think Dave may not be Phil’s father and Linda was whoring around the means streets of Connecticut. Growing up Phil wasn’t very close to Dave for whatever reason and this created a rift in their relationship. As a result of this Phil never grew to understand the value of money because money was always a whiny demand away.
