There was literally an entire famous purge of members of the Nazi party that Hitler wanted to get rid of. It has its own nickname and everything and is the third most famous Nazi massacre.

Also there are tons of famous Stalin friends/associates who never got disappeared. Sometimes literally just because Stalin liked them personally. Fuck, half the reason Kruschev survived is because of how much Stalin liked his jokes. So, yes, this is not only sperging, but inaccurate sperging.

Public witch hunts and people stabbing each other in the back over bullshit to prop themselves up has been a thing everywhere, forever, as has mass public shaming. The thing that makes cancel culture so fucking shitty is 1) The power of the internet and 2) they're claiming to do it in the name of progressivism and trying to put a moral spin on it.

I’ll say this, it can take a lot for family to break ties. Even when you think they’ll turn their back on you, they won’t. And some members of family are closer than others.

Exactly. Obviously this particular forum is going to have a... diversity of opinions when it comes to "progressive" causes, but that's not actually what's being discussed in any of these fucking tweets. For all that these people were definitely on one particular side of Gamergate, they might as well be screaming "It's about ethics in children's media!!!!!!!!!". These people aren't Communists, and they aren't Nazis. They don't actually have a coherent ideology or understanding of anything. It's like it's a ritual cult, mixed with the Mean Girls.

And this does com from the stupid idea where somehow your identity controls whether or not you can comment on something, based on your position in the trauma hierarchy. The fact that this is around an Asian themed property is especially funny, because of all the nonwhite cultures to integrate into America, East Asian culture is probably the one that gets the best treatment and the most dedicated following. Both of the products she's accused of "comparing" were made for white audiences for fucks sakes. If the worst that happens to someone is that someone makes a joke about your eye shape, you're probably not that oppressed. The picture is older, more the meta-irony of the fan. This is Lindsay's YouTuber clique but only Nicholson is really making videos and doing quite well for herself. Contra makes bank on Patreon but only does like one video a year so his grift game is even better than Lindsay's. Both Contra and Nicholson posted about Lindsay's goodbye note.

Anyone else annoyed with these "Lindsay invented video essays" takes from her defenders? She started as female Nostalgia Critic, then switched her style to female Plinkett when RLM became popular. She didn't "invent" anything.

These breadtubers act like she never made a video before her Phantom of the Opera review.
